I do like the Iron Queen, she stand out and makes a great rival against Dr. Eggman and can give some new Lore that added with the ninja theme that can help with Espio. I would like to see a new version of the Iron Queen and make her a deadly yet fun rival for Eggman, also would be nice to see more Ninja clans too.
Feel sorry for the Iron Queen, she had her family excuted. Then was tossed out into the wastelands being kicked around by Overlanders and Morbiens for s good part of her teenhood. Unlike Robotnik who was always evil, The Iron Queen was conditioned by a cult, than had this mindset of being cruel and destructive reinforced by the way everyone treated her. She wasn't born a monster, or willed herself into one, she was warpped so far that she'd developed a thrist for power, and began exploiting her cold hearted traits, since they would now only help her ambitions of not only gaining control over her life again, but outright dominating the Morbien and Overlander civilizations which had so cruelly rejected her. Her lack of positive conmections(aka FREINDS or FAMILY) outside of childhood caused her to become callus with the way she treated people and places, since why should she treat anyone or anything in this world with respect when she had everything stripped away, treated like vermin not even worth destruction, but simply being kicked out of view. Imagined how differently should could've turned out if she'd had met up with literally any of the good main Characters like Sonic, Tails, etc. They likely could've pulled her away from this downward swirl, but she ended up becoming locked into her obessions and ambitions by aligning with the Iron King. And she eventually was only able to relate and connect to other power hungry characters like the before mentioned Iron King and Snively. Damn, just damn. Tragic.
The only characters who come close to Regina’s abilities is the Deadly Six and by extension to the Zeti race. I want this series to continue very much!
I find the iron queen as an interesting villain in a variety of ways. 1: even though it was with snively, she is one of the few villains that's actually had a romantic relationship with one of the other villains. 2: her relationship with the iron king reminds me of my Power Rangers. [showing my age]! Seriously going off the whole Rita repulsa, energy with her ox king husband, being able to make monsters with her own power set turning your greatest enemies into her greatest allies! I really wish that Iran could try something or one of the other writers on the IDW books to set up some more variety of villains? Oh, I do like the idea of a crime boss possum. And considering the zeddies[deadly 6] have similar abilities to the iron queen I've always find it interesting! I wonder if we'll get some more character off of them now?
The zeti are also interesting characters and I think they are suitable replacements for the Iron Queen, if there was a replacement for the Iron Queen I would choose Zeina because she has all the qualities that the Iron Queen could have in common
Technically, we do have a villain that fufills this role, or should I say, Six? The Deadly Six’s EM powers are quite similar to techno magic, with both being used to turn machines on heroes and villians. The Deadly Six are just far less intricate then Regina. Hers can control wills provided the mechanical parts are internal enough, can only be stopped by non-mechanical creations, and there’s the digital dimension stuff. The Deadly Six can only control bodies, even of full robots, such as Gemerl, and they can be negated by a lack of wifi routers, or EM shielding used elsewhere for other reasons. Edit: dangit too soon.
Definitely wish the reboot didn’t happened, just to give the Mecha Sally arc a proper ending and also would’ve like to see Snively escape or reunite with Regina eventually

Honestly, I think they still could had used the Iron Queen. Archie Comics could've easily written off the first appearance Iron Queen as an imposter double, considering that during that time, she was considered a "badger".
This was one of my favorite arcs. I liked all the twists and the interesting character interactions in difficult circumstances they were put in, like Espio. Poor guy. And how monkey khan and sally had a thing but didn’t go for it because of sonic and then the whole thing about the citizens being afraid of Nicole after the iron queen used her.
I don’t want to undermine Ken Penders credit for all the work he did, but I wish he’d let other writers, use his characters whether that’s someone of Sega choosing or preferably Ian Flynn specifically or even doing it himself in collaboration with Sega so they can use all the characters together. I just want them to make a good story.
