Next time use a vapor barrier on the clay - crystal clear or a vinyl spray sealer. This will keep the “ face coat” from sticking. I work in Hollywood - we do this everyday. Excellent work you guys!!

The improvements you have made such as building the car's skeleton on a fixed ground and so on are some of the good ideas you integrated. Hello from India. I have been following your car making for quite sometimes. i have seen your earlier car videos and also the latest bugatti, Pagani and now Ferrari. I don't know your language. But I think the final car body you produce there remain lot of breaking points. those may get cracked if driven rigorously. Hope to be proven wrong. thanks
@ well first of all I am not at all an expert. What I have seen so far in your videos that you are placing square or rectangular pieces of carbon fibre clothes side by side and applying epoxy over. But in my view between two clothes there remains a line where there is no continuous reinforcements of carbon fiber, only epoxy glue. Hence the strength of that part is different from rest of the body, probably less. If you use long continuous cloth rather than small pieces, the body Will get uniform strength. Once again I am not an expert. I hope to be proven wrong. You may watch videos of buidercreator . Where a gentleman from America is building his own super car. He has posted very informative videos on carbon fiber reinforcement. Thanks and good night.

Use a hairdryer on the clay if you really want the smoothest finish possible but great watching you chaps use your skills to work and mold the car body 👍
I am a big fan of what you gentlemen do. Such ingenuity and attention to detail. You fellas have an eye for design. Excellent work as always, and I cannot wait to see the finished product! ***Just a side note - I am a pulmonary physician in the USA. I would highly recommend all of you wear respirators - i.e. N95s - while doing this type of work. You are exposing yourself to inordinate amounts of fiberglass and glue, and when inhaled over time this can severely and permanently damage your lungs. Regular surgical masks unfortunately will not suffice. If you cannot source N95 masks for yourselves, then I recommend you to wear KN95s at the BARE minimum, and if you do so, I would double mask with a surgical mask on top of the KN95. However, an N95 would be HIGHLY recommended. Best of luck gentlemen, and keep up the amazing work!
Making the body might not be an otherwordly job for people who know how to work around molds, but making parts fit in it, the engine, electrical system, electronics, routing the cables, hydraulics etc is a whole other ballpark, that takes very, very high levels of skill in several different areas, and of course, a lot of math and precise measurements. I can't even imagine how this is made without 3D X-Ray scanning. Such machine that can scan a car literally costs MILLIONS.

I wonder how much more expensive it would be to do at least SOME of the body using forged carbon molding rather than all fibreglass. It wouldn't be as strong as woven carbon, but it would be both lighter and stronger than fibreglass. Forged carbon looks great too. Better than woven IMO.
