Superb review and explanation, got my malham in about 2016, absolute bomb proof great fitting amazing wear boots - this review is concise and spot on! I only just found the altberg channel and that has some great little explanation videos about the company/making of boot -this is as good if not better! Full points! Subbed!
Thank you so much for your comment! We are glad we could help! Keep an eye on the channel as a tour of the Altberg factory maybe coming later this year!
Always have several pairs of boots for shooting I use hogs hiking iturri cold weather boots for severe winter weather brasher supalite gortex and leather lining plus
Good boots, but surprisingly they do not offer any military discount to serving personnel! Surprising as they made their money from them. Quite a few young soldiers would really benefit from that, as they currently have to scrape together quite a bit to get them.
Was at the factory today and they offer Bluelight discount on their Police and Military boot range, but only their E member discount on the hiking range.
What may be a stupid question....I'm thinking of replacing my Salomon boots for Altberg as I am tabbing in them and I want an all leather boot as the Salomons are not holding up to a bit of wear and tear. I'm a civilian and would wearing the Altberg boot be considered as stolen valour as it is considered a military boot?
No, wearing altberg boots is definitely not stolen valor. From a serving RM. The issued altbergs are completely different to these. However, no one genuinely cares even if you wore genuine issue altbergs thats definitely not the same as impersonating as a serving member for HM armed forces.
Great news - luckily I’m not too far from the factory in Richmond where you can get sized up but given that most of them have up to 5 widths I’m sure they will be a better fit compared to most other off the shelf brands
Best boots you can buy

I don't think so. We sell them to no military customers looking for a non waterproof boot

I moved from Salomon to alt-Berg and haven’t looked back - great quality, good value and customer service
@@lewismcnicholas2631 I've now ordered a pair of Altbergs. Fingers crossed on the sizing.
