I don't know if I could tear apart a 140 dollar pickup. Also at 10:39, they are lined up, then you cut to them being offset. What did you do to offset them?
It's been a while since I did that, but from what I remember the only thing that keeps them lined up is the backing plate. Once they are off of it they are loose and you can easily shift them into a slanted position and put them on the new backing plate.
I'm waiting on my NK Headless, I've actually liked the omega bridge. So far. I've also been seeing alot of people liking the brighter D Activator in neck and have even put a neck version into the bridge. Although I've heard it may be too bright on bright woods. I believe the NK is Ash, a bright wood?
You are correct - the NK is ash. As far as D Activator and other pickups - I'm just a huge fan of Duncans and have wanted to try the Alpha/Omega for a while now. Amazing pickups
I recently bought an esp ltd m1000 multiscale with slanted pickups.i love the guitar and how it plays but im worried if the pickups goes wrong and need to get a replacement.are they easy to find???
I can't speak of LTD guitars, but typically slanted pickups aren't too easy to find with the right angle etc. That's the main reason why I made this video - to show how I converted standard pickups into slanted.
Good question. Not sure how bar pickups are attached to the baseplate but I'm guessing two screws just like regular. If so, then it should work but I'd do more research before attempting to swap. I'm not a luthier and simply don't have the experience to say a definite yes or no unfortunately
The stock pickups on the NK were very good. I mean VERY good. The Alpha/Omega are way better. The playing experience with the NK is fantastic now. Bright, solid, very clear tone with extremely well defined voicing of each string in big chords. The swap was absolutely worth it. If you stick to the stock pups the NK won't disappoint but the Alpha/Omega make the NK an absolute gem. Thanks for watching!

@@ZMuzzic Thanks!
Weird, I just bought a nk 7 string, and was thinking of swapping to seymour duncan alpha omega O.O
There are a few pickup makers that make drop in pickups for multiscale guitars. Instrumental and Guitarmory for example.
Good info! Thanks!
@@ZMuzzic absolutely. I just did a conversion for a Seymour Duncan from straight to angled, and it was pretty easy too 👍
Thanks a lot for this
I hope you found it helpful!

Hi I would like to ask you, Is these pickups still work normally?
I interested to modify my fan fret guitar with ALPHA/OMEGA too.
Thanks :)
Yes, they still work and sound just the way they did the day I installed them. Same tone, same responsiveness, no issues.
Do You think this conversion will work also with pickups with bar like Crunch Lab or D-Sonic?
