Separate the two halves of the body, put strat halves and you're done. Sure, it doesn't replicate the headstock, but then you're left with no Strandberg if you replace the neck.

Bless the YT Algorhythm. What an entertaining video! This process seems like a tough job, but man, you can't argue with the results! It looks amazing :D
A cheaper and easier way to build your own Strandberg would be to buy one of the many Chinese knockoffs and than upgrade the hardware. I am glad you reshaped the neck, since that's really the most revolutionary bit of the Strandberg and makes them worth the expense.
I've seen some very subpar woods and luthier work in the knockoffs. Poor glue joints and sacrificed integrity isn't a good foundation to built off of. This guy did it properly.
Idk if that would really scratch a strandberg itch. Those have a pretty distinctive feel. Not even saying everything strandberg uses is fantastic. But most people like the way they feel and the China knockoffs definitely feel suuuuper different.
Cool. Came out great! I did a "semi-Strandberg" conversion to my Strat that is relatively easy to accomplish with a minimum of modifications, and has some interesting advantages that you or your viewers may be interested in. The main reason for the conversion was to make the guitar more ergonomic to hold. Here are the things that I did over time that made the ultimately lower bout ergonomic cutaway possible. 1. Long ago, I made a rear access to the Electronics Cavity so I could easily test/switch different Caps, Pots, etc. 2. I use a Modeler, and found that I didn't need the Middle or Neck Pickup, as I dial in everything on my Neck Pickup. 3. Since I didn't need a Pickup switch, I removed it, and have a Volume, and a Tone Knob for the Bridge Pickup. I left the rear hole in the Pickguard open. 4. With the previous 3 Mods already in place, I realized I could cut out wood from the Lower bout, so the guitar could sit ergonomically between my legs. 5. I used the shape of the lower portion of the pickguard as a guide for removing the excess wood. It made for a nice shape and was just small enough to remove the wood necessary so the guitar would sit/balance on my thigh. I did have to angle/bevel the back part of the wood for a comfortable fit. 6. Since I removed the standard "Football Jack" recess when I removed wood from the lower bout, I used the empty back hole in the Pickguard for the Jack. I saw a video of a guitar with 2 jacks, and may put the removed Football Jack like in this YT video by Phil McKnight: "Kiesel A2 With Scalloped Fretboard." 7. Having all the Electronics on what amounts to a "Loaded Pickguard" makes it possible to swap the entire Pickguard/electronics/Pickups by simply using a solderless "Quick Connect." This is surprisingly easy to do, as can be seen in the short YT video: Tutorial: Quick-Swap Pickguards for Strats This gives you all kinds of flexibility with your Strat, as you can configure it with different numbers of Pickups, etc. with easily swappable Pickguards. 8. I left the original neck and tuners in place, as it wasn't necessary or advantageous in my case to swap them. 9. I use Acrylic Paint for any touch ups, etc. on my Strat. It is easy to apply (brush), dries fast, no fumes, looks good (sort of a semi-gloss), and is inexpensive: DecoArt Americana Acrylic Paint, 2-Ounce on Amazon for under $5. Hope this helps someone consider how they can make a Strat more like a Strandberg quite easily, with some outstanding advantages.

I'm an experienced woodworker, but I'm still a bit hesitant to built my own guitar. Instead I bought a Strandberg and 3D printed my own wall hanger. Kind of the opposite approach from you :-)
This thing is nuts. Any thoughts about doing one like this, except a 7-string multiscale?
I did this with my old M7 warlock 4 years ago for fun.
you could try getting a push-push switch, and split the tone and volume in the different positions. I wonder whether that could be a workaround for using only one pot. Very cool build otherwise!
Awesome project, definitely a lot of work. Looks rad tho.
No demo at the end is criminal.
