Yay! happy you like it. just thought to throw firewatch in there in the list of inspirations. I also never played it myself tbh, but it was huge in the sims community I remember. What visual novel?
So cool! I love your unconventional builds, and the idea to create unconventional starter homes is great! It immediately gives you so many ideas for a possible story. 😊
OMG! Yes, that's what I was thinking too. I think over the years we all got a bit bored. These builds should bring more inspiration and out of the box gameplay.
This is so creative! For this series, you could also do a converted one-room schoolhouse. Or an old-timey mine converted into a home (maybe part underground?)!
this build actually is surpringly versatile. i placed it down on some random lots in more rural natural neighborhoods and especially in Sulani it looked great as a sort of wildlife preserve lookout station. doesn't an biologist eco sort of career com with island living? I think that ties in very well together.
Maybe you could make a bridge house?! I don’t know how common it is in other countries, but here in The Netherlands bridges often had a little house for the person who could open the bridges for boats that are passing through. Most of that is automated now, and some of the little houses are converted into apartments 😊 ‘brugwachter’ ‘brugwachter huis’ could be good terms to google if this is not a thing outside of NL 😅
This is really charming! Imagine painting from there! I have a weird idea for a starter home, how about a ruined funeral home/begravelsesbyrå/those places people plan funerals and buy coffins and urns, vampire starter home..! Some find it a little morbid, but it's part of life, and given the life and death pack..! I imagine that a casket/coffin was taken in for cremation (in the basement) but a catalyst happened and 50 years later, a vampire rises from said coffin. There's a skeleton in the stairs, but the vampire can sleep in the coffins in the showroom/entrance, keep plasmabags in the kitchenette, have fun on the primitive computer in the office and watch tv on the guest chairs on a small tv from the kitchenette placed on the empty space on the desk, etc. I think it can look quite unique..!
This is veeery specific. But I love that it is! not sure if I can make a funeral home under 20k. this will be definitely a big challenge. But i wrote it down and who knows maybe I come back too it. Keep these great ideas coming! Love reading such elaborate stories. Very inspirational.
OMG... I tried this when we got Moonwood Mill or whatever it's called. Your's is what I wanted !!! (JUST MOVED ) when my PC is unpacked and up Down Loading this sooo Fast! TY so much!
A boathouse is possible for a sulani sort of build because I can just plop it into the water on the waterfront lots. However canal boathouse means there is a canal I have to build for it and everything around and I don't think I can make it starter. However I wrote down your creative suggestion and maybe I can see what i can do when inspiration strikes. Thanks so much =)
Omg! Yeah. 😂 while reluctantly placing it upstairs (for gameplay convenience not realism) i said to myself “ they use pidgeons! They use Pidgeons! Don’t worry. Noone will notice”
I love this. There is a documentary here on youtube about a woman living in a medieval watchtower somewhere in Germany (can’t remember when). It was cluttered and so cozy, maybe you can recreate it? Of course, it cannot be a starter home.
@ I am so glad you like them. I love seeing cool and unique builds come to life by you! The tower is in Bad Wimpfen. The video title on YT is “Highest Tiny House: Living at 60 meters”. I highly recommend it :)
Oh yes! Wasn't vene considering occults. But I totally agree. Werewolves definitely strike me as a species to live isolated in the woods. Park Ranger would be a great job for them.
Haha I too built a firewatch tower after playing Firewatch :D I have it in Granite falls bc nothing else really made sense for that national park lot anyway. Now I'm inspired to go back and update it since we have smaller telescopes and ceiling paint available! ^^ btw I recommend using mods to disable that "has to pee" walkstyle as it just makes sims wet themselves.. 🙄 that is seriously one of the dumbest features in the game! The mod absolutely helps with builds that only have an outhouse! Mine is from bienchen I think.
oh very good idea with the pee walk. I didn't even think about that mod. I usually disable all th eneeds, since I personally can't be bothered with the arbitrary moods swings etc. they get in the way of my playstyle. so I didn't even know there are mods for that. but of course there are, there are mods for everything! duh! lol
I could see this as a perfect 'runaway teen' home, I mean maybe they're 18 but they're like still in high school. Or maybe they just graduated from school? This is their first real job. And it provides them a shelter. Maybe things are going very well at home. Maybe their parents are a divorce or getting divorced and maybe they're getting a new step parent and it makes them feel awkward. They want to get away from all the stress. * I didn't want to make it as if the kid was running away from abuse. And my versions of like the sims most of the time it's kind of like a ' family drama' world problems are solved real quick and there isn't anything extremely terrible.
Makes me think of the game Firewatch
I thought the same!
loved that game 😊
It’s definitely inspired by it. 😊❤️
@@Simprovedperfect can’t wait to see it! ❤
That's what I immediately thought of aswell!
You should make a lighthouse and/or water mill starters
great suggestion! I wrote them down! Thanks so much!
I love this, I think I will put it in Granite Falls as a Ranger outpost!!!
Sounds amazing! I was also thinking Glimmerbrook or Sulani as like a wildlife reserve lookout.
Never played Firewatch but it does resemble a watchtower I saw illustrated in a visual novel I read recently, so nice work.
Yay! happy you like it. just thought to throw firewatch in there in the list of inspirations. I also never played it myself tbh, but it was huge in the sims community I remember. What visual novel?
This is such a great series already! Would love to see your take on a doomsday prepper's underground bunker for the next one
That sounds like fun! I wrote it down!
I’d love to see your take on an “underwater” house!
cool idea. I wrote it down. =) thank you for the suggestion.
This is so creative! For this series, you could also do a converted one-room schoolhouse. Or an old-timey mine converted into a home (maybe part underground?)!
Great ideas! I wore them down. Thank you so much!
This is awesome! And it actually fits into this weird neighborhood, which is really challenging. Kudos!
this build actually is surpringly versatile. i placed it down on some random lots in more rural natural neighborhoods and especially in Sulani it looked great as a sort of wildlife preserve lookout station. doesn't an biologist eco sort of career com with island living? I think that ties in very well together.
I want to make a new sim just to play in this house! so cool
Yay! That’s exactly what this build series is about. Fresh ideas for a great start of a save file! Happy this inspired you
My first thought was "Oh this would be a great base for zombie apocalypse gameplay!" 😆 Supercool build, you are always so creative ❤
Oh yes. Zombie apocalypse would be a great setup for this build. I can totally see it

Love this idea!
Oh we had(maybe still have) them too here in germany. That's a very unique idea. I wrote it down! Thank you so much for the suggestion!
This is such a fun, creative idea and you executed it so well.
thank you :)
Beautiful build. I've been trying to figure out what to place in this awkward remote lot but this is perfect!
I get it, it's an awkward lot for a normal house no street but too close to the town for a log cabin. I think the tower is a great compromise.
This is really charming! Imagine painting from there!

Yes Moonwood Mill would also be a perfect place for this for sure. Hope you have fun playing in it! ❤️
I'd love a canal boathouse!😊

It is BEAUTIFUL! It’s only take the sim 3 days to get in and out of it 😂
haha, yeah it's definitely a build for someone who like to fast forward a lot in this game :P
@ or just teleport and call it a day 😂
Oh I love this!!! 🤩Great idea with the little series, too... how about an old water tower, a train station or a bunker?
great ideas! i wrot them down. thanks so much !
I like that it also dogtested. love it !
had to! Of course I take Gina with me, even my simself. That's my only standard for my builds - can you have a pet living there? lol
dang, i'd hate to be that mail deliverer LMAO great build though! super inspiring!!
Omg! Yeah. 😂 while reluctantly placing it upstairs (for gameplay convenience not realism) i said to myself “ they use pidgeons! They use Pidgeons! Don’t worry. Noone will notice”

This is beautiful and unique
Oh, I love this! Such a fun idea!
Glad you do ❤️
A silo would be cool
A real silo or like one in the show silo? Either way I wrote it down!
A real silo 👍
This starter watchtower looks awesome 💚
Thank you! Hope to see u at the premiere tomorrow
Your creativity 💜
❤️
Brilliant !
Thank you Linda ❤️
this is SOOOO CUUUTTEEEEE
Wow this is so cool!
Thank you 😊
I like the idea of a werewolf living in a watchtower! 😮

A hobbit hole could be cool, too!
again. great idea! noted!
Maybe a UFO house in Strangerville? Saw some examples on airbnb 😂
ooooh I love that!!! I've built a spaceship before but a small starter UFO sounds great. wrote it down!
🔭
Gorgeous! Cannot wait to download it from the gallery tonight! 🫶
