I agree! Your merch- even Funko Pops can be opened and enjoyed. (Unless you plan on selling it.) I open and handle all my merch, albums, and photocards.

This is such a new, fun moment in time for them to be curious and explore and marvel at the newness of all that BTS gives us. It would be a shame for them to feel worry that they're not doing it "right" by not opening it. That's so boring. Then they'll just have a pretty box in their homes without ever getting to enjoy anything inside.

it's funny because jin said during the creation of the astronaut album, he said to not include photo cards bc he thinks it's not necessary, but the creative team responded to him saying that pc's are the most important valuable item in the album and that's what the fans are most excited about when opening an album. 😆
I disagree, I am sure some fans do buy albums just for that, but I buy albums because I enjoy the music and I want to support the artist. I do not care about photocards tbh.
yeah jin was like why include them if they can just find them on the internet and print/cut them themselves but its still so fun to get them in albums so im glad they included them
@@PurpleFlowerwork so true. For me I view everything they usually put into an album as part of the experience. So you purchase the album because you love the artist and want to get their new music in a physical format (some people still love using a CD or the sound of a vinyl playing...... i am some people✋🏿🤣). Then you open it up and get a bunch of other cool stuff to collect and form your own memories with that's specif to that album. I've never personally gotten one yet but my sister bought the Indigo album for her birthday and it was so fun seeing all the stuff that comes with them as well as some photocards given to her by the person who imported them to our country.
Of course if the artist doesn't want to that's totally understandable, but the little things that are typically a part of them are so fun as well for many.
@@crunchychicken2 Of course that's the fun, but I would never purchase several albums just to get another shot at a photocard. I also do pin them in my little place, so they end up with a hole. But it's what the are here for in our household at least, to be seen, not treated like a holy cow and hidden.
@@skarbuskreska exactly. I also never understood the whole buying multiple albums for that purpose either. BTS themselves would want us to handle money much more responsibly. And I agree as well that they should be enjoyed however you choose because you bought them or was gifted them. If someone wants to pin them to their wall then they have every right to. Just because you(not saying you specifically) may want to store it away so it doesn't get damaged, doesn't mean you have the right to tell someone else they should do it that exact same way as well. Preserving something special is completely understandable, but we should also respect that someone may want to touch it, flip through it, pin it to their wall, etc and that's okay.
Xen does such a great job at editing!! You guys will be finishing the album collection faster than a lot of us ARMY's 😁. Enjoy the albums and the merch.

25:40 - Love Yourself Trilogy Albums: If you have all the versions of the album, the flower artwork in front will connect like a puzzle, as well as the photocards (pc) inside that album, and there is a letter at the spine of the album that will indicate the version that spells LOVE YOUR SELF.
26:38 - 'The bookmark' - is a standing photo, you can open and fold the bottom part to make it stand.
27:16 - THE NOTES - diary entries written by the characters that BTS Members represent in the story of their MVs
29:02 - The pc that Gabriel's holding are official from Army Bomb Lightstick
33:05 - I think these are some of the pc that have flowers at the back (Love Yourself Trilogy) but idk if it's official.
33:29 - The little envelope that Abi is holding is an official pc from 2021 BTS Sowoozoo.
43:03 - You Never Walk alone album: available in two versions, and when you put it together, the wing logo at the spine will be complete. (small deets on their albums that I love🥹)
43:24 - try to look at the spine if you have the same version bec there are 4 version (SELF)
All pc inside the album are official, and random except for the 'BE' where they put all members' pc. Most army that collect pc do trades with each other or buy the specific pc they want, which costs a lot, especially if it's in good condition or rare.

Also depending on if the LY pcs are from newer albums production companies, the official pcs flower side might not line up(The newer ones definitely don’t like up with the old ones).

You don't have to follow other people way like not opening the album is just ridiculous for me, what's the point of buying it if you are not going to use it right? So yeah just do you!💗 And yeah I like every spontaneous thing you guys do! Please don't take it to heart over some harsh comments okay. Just know tht you will never satisfy everyone. Besides, look what's included in the albums. Photo books, photo cards, posters, and the CD... They are obviously designed to be opened. If you don't, you miss out on all the great inclusions. Stuff BTS worked hard to create. The hours that would have gone into the photoshoots for each album must have been exhausting for the guys. So it's only fair, and polite, to recognize, and celebrate, that hard work by genuinely appreciating the product of their endeavours. If no one opened the albums all that hard work, by everyone involved would be for nothing.💜👌🏻
Personally I don't get people who don't open the albums, but that's their choice. I love seeing what else is included, besides the CD. And how can you play the CD if you don't open the album?💜🤗

BT21. Each member actually created and drew and named these characters!!! There is a whole RunBTS episode on when they created them. Then their creation was sent to the art department to finalize a real end product and BT 21 character for animation, and a cute little "Doll" or pillow to hold and love. Jin will travel with RJ, Jin named him, in airplanes and around the world. I've never watched the BT 21 animated show, but I've heard it's cute. It's still amazing the members created them. And drew them from scratch!
My children are around y’all’s age. This is like watching them and their spouses/SO open Christmas gifts. It ends up taking a couple hours because we each open a gift one at a time. It ends up being a lot of fun, family stories, laughter and lots of chaos just like CCW. Love you guys!

i don't collect albums but it's safe to assume that every photocard (pc for short) in an album is official. they will usually have something in the back that ties to the album. however, some ppl make their own pcs of their fav photos of their biases with cardstock paper and most of them are not trying to pass those off as "official" pcs so you should be able to tell them apart by looking at the back and seeing that most of the time they'll be blank or have nothing "official" on them. i hope this helps!
I have never enjoyed opening of mails from other reactors TBH but I finished this one and was laughing so much. The opening of the boxes were cracking me up lol. And xen the inserts are so funny. good job girl

omg guys im excited for yall's merch and high key geeking out coz i'm a collector and i want to answer a lot of your questions but i lost track of most of them lol anyway, one of the questions you had was about photocards (PCs for short lol) they're official if they come from the albums/dvds/etc. looked like all the albums you got were sealed so all those PCs you "pulled" are official! all albums have PCs except 2 Kool for Skool (it comes with the Hip Hop Monster postcard). aside from the album pcs, BTS also has 'mini PCs' (slightly bigger than album pcs). examples are from the army bomb (those you're checking out @31:33 and tour/concert mini pcs @33:50 ) merch/pc collection is a totally different hole inside the bts rabbit hole lol i store my pcs/postcards in a binder. here's a video of my collection from last year to show you how collectors usually organize/store them. if you wanna do the same, make sure your sleeves are acid and pvc free ;)

i literally have one of my jin photocards from the astronaut album in my phone case without a sleeve, you guys are good. as long as you don't bend it or scratch is then don't worry about it lol
I don't know if you guys know how expensive photocards are, there's a whole market in the fanbase dedicated to selling/trading them! Some extremely rare ones go for $200+ dollars. I think it'd be fun for you guys to search up your photocards from the album and see how much they're worth, just to know haha. I feel like you got around $500+ dollars in merch which is insane!! Albums are like $40, and that BE album is sooo expensive they have it in a slim version and then the chunkier one, which you got (around $60-70 I think). Also, so happy for all the gifts you got including Xen! Glad someone's showing them love for all the hard work they put into these videos!
that plastic/acrylic photo in the Her album, is a photo stand.The bottom folds out so you can set it on a table. Stick your finger in the slot at the bottom and it will start to open up so you can turn it into a stand. Don't break it though, it opens like a desk calendar, tri-fold.
This is such a fun video! ARMYs are really so nice and generous, just another thing I love about this fandom. I love how much you guys enjoyed getting what people sent. You can do whatever you want with the merch, they’re already yours and are meant to be enjoyed! I think other people just wanted to share how other ARMYs treated their own merch. Some people really make sure the photo cards are kept in immaculate condition because they have trading/purchasing value.

the BE album has photocards just like all the other albums (they always include photocards, don't worry!). BE was very thought out by BTS themselves to represent them all as a group and individuals, so you'll actually find 7 photocards inside the album, each of them for every member. i've noticed you've received the deluxe version, so there are pcs of the boys lying on a couch in different rooms as its main concept
if you want to know what people usually do, opening albums is normal! the whole fun is seeing what photo card you get :) however a lot of the random inclusions are even more important collectibles since they don’t come in every album! therefore a lot of people will cover them in protection (mainly photo cards or post cards) to keep/trade/sell :)
Army is literally the best fandom; I never seen a fandom send gifts to reactors or anyone in the fandom before. This is so wholesome
so true only army does that we are generous and want to share our love with everyone. many reactors get gifts army always recommend them to open a box but only some do. jared and jorden also had a load of mails waiting to be unpacked.
armys send them handwritten letters as well as albums and merch. it´s so wholesome. and i dont think another kpop fandom would pay to be a patreon to watch reactions only army does as far as i know.

I really dont get ppl who dont open their albums. Like why? They are expensive, beautiful and amazing. They are meant to be enjoyed. But we all have reasons. Just dont tell others to feel bad for enjoying theirs.
I know someone personally who dont. Her 1st album opened was proof. She enjoyed it so much! She was wondering if she can open the others. She has a lot. I didnt know she's not opening hers. I told her go for it! Their value wont go up not unless they are the signed ones. So better enjoy them now.
I feel for editor xen, I live in Egypt and I'm also a college student (so I'm practically broke most of the time) and yk after the dollar went up everything is much more expensive now 😭. Ah, personally with merch, I say open all the albums and enjoy all the merch you want. That's coming from me, someone who has all the albums, most of the dvds/blu-rays, and over six plastic tubs of bts merch hahahah. The only things I don't open are things that I might want to sell or give away one day and that's VERY few items hahaha. If you want to enjoy a merch, enjoy it. But pertaining to photocards, I keep all of mine in binders with 9-pocket trading card sheets. Like what I do with old pokemon cards and some people with baseball cards. It keeps it organized. I put little notes in the pockets to remind myself where they came from in case I forget.

As many have said, do as you’d like with the albums.
Besides treasuring the albums because of how hard bts has worked for them, some people resell/trade the albums ,ESPECIALLY the pc’s. The better mint condition they are in, the higher they can be sold, especially if they are rare. You can easily go on twitter, Depop, mercari, etc and see why this is important for many. But besides that, definitely do what you’d like with the albums. Some people keep them on shelves, some people play the cd’s, some cut up the album and make scrapbooks. There is not just ONE way to handle albums. I’m glad you love the albums though 🥰
My KC Chiefs and BTS loving heart was so happy seeing the FunkoPops at the beginning! I’m from Iowa and an Iowa State fan (sorry y’all 🤷🏻♀️) but lived in Hillsboro TX for a while and actually had some friends that went to and played basketball for Texas Tech…long before y’all were there I’m sure. 😳🤣 It’s fun seeing reactors I have so much in common with. 🙌🏼 💜

I related so hard with Zen about the YNWA album lol it's my fave and I don't any of the versions (yet) - Also all pcs are official it they're from official merch (albums, sweatshirts, mugs, etc.). The best way to get the official is via Weverse or offical distributors (Target, WalMart, Amazon, etc). The best way to keep of that though is through the official BTS twitter ...weverse also sends notifications when new merch drops and where it's available for official purchase! So happy you guys got some new merch!! (Gabriel getting excited over the Astronaut album is literally all of us lol)

Hii I am a collector and have all korean albums etc. It is totally ok to open albums since they are meant to be seen and used!! I even use the cds sometimes to listen to their music. Really open whatever you want since in the end it's your possesion lol As long as you don't like rip them up or whatever it's all fair play ^^
