Love these types of videos Andrew. They are so raw and give great insight into you as a person and the work you do. Keep up the great work. Thank you !
It has been a wonderful evening here in northern California sharing a beer with you this evening, watching you cook and listening to your experiences. It's great you share all of this with us. You have a lot of friends you haven't met in person yet, but I know you're just the kinda fellow I could call a friend. Zero tolerance for bull$hit and extreme annoyance at incompetence. You know your stuff and that shows. You're not afraid to speak your mind, even if that might bend a few noses and hurt some extra sensitive feelings. Keep on staying true to the ultimate truth. Happy trails my friend.
Absolutely love this Andrew. You make even the mundane seem interesting. That’s a skill. I think it’s called charisma or passion. Whatever it is, you make it work beautifully. You are such good company. Thank you.
I completely respect your choices to not carry Firearms on your trips. For our Family here in the U.S. we choose otherwise, for a myriad of reasons. If for no other reason, the saying: "You don't need a firearm, until you do." Thanks for humping us along with you on the camping trip, I wish I was actually there I bet it would be great to have a campfire conversation with. Looking forward to your next adventure.
Absolutely love this kind of video. It's so candid, and totally feels like I'm there with you. More of these please. I'm sure there's fairly easy to setup as well!
Andrew, brilliant! I could sit at a campfire with you, and listen to you the whole evening. You have a sublime, dry sense of humour, and I really like your honesty and directness. I do miss the African night skies, as a SA- born German, your overland series of Botswana, Namibia and Angola have me yearning, wishing ( surreptously planning ) for a self-drive safari. Cheers mate, thanks!
FYI, this was wonderful. It wasn't boring, it was you being honest without the constraint of feeling you had to talk about a specific topic. Hope to see more of this. thanks.
Hey Andrew. I just got back from w.a myself, a 6 week gold prospecting trip on my lonesome, loved it immensely. I love that type of country you’re in. The sunsets are incredible. Love that beautiful red coloured ground and blue sky!! Also love the lack of people. I must mention the post. My wife sent me a couple of 500gram express parcels on 2 separate occasions, and they were sent from Melbourne city and the other from a suburbs post office, both sent on a Monday, and both arrived on a Wednesday at Laverton w.a post office (3 days total). I was impressed by that. In the past it’s been at least a week, sometimes longer (maybe it was regular post though). Enjoy
Superp Andrew! Like talking around a campfire! And you talked very openly about yourself, beliefs related to guided party, money, independent work. Great!
Wonderful! Thoroughly enjoyable - watched twice in a row. Likewise, I ADORE traveling alone, solitude and magnificent wilderness - they are my only true friends! I hate crowds, shopping, and confident pompous idiots. Thanks for recommending audio books. Eddie Izzard is brilliant. Safe and enjoyable solo travels! 🙏🏼 You have thousands of friends and fans around the world, Andrew! I’d be honored to meet you at Expo West next year...
Funniest line ever by Andrew: “If I have to handle that brain damage, I better be paid for it”. Truly classic. I thought this was a VERY entertaining video!!! Thank you.
Watching you, I imagine there are many viewing your videos who think like you and would share many of your opinions. You say it as it is and that is refreshing in a world run by bs artists. The fact that you are doing this....sort of flying by the seat of your pants, providing an entertaining aspect of off road camping and doing it solo puts one at ease who might be procrastinating over taking on a trip like this.
Great video, thoroughly enjoyed Monty Python and the crews individual works, like Eric Idle and John Cleese. Benny Hill was another favorite. Robin Williams was definitely in a class by himself. Also liked Paul Hogan when he had a show from Australia. To me comedy makes the world so much better. Thanks for the great fire side chat!
Dear Andrew, I’m a great fan for many, many years and have subscribed only recently (I have a natural aversion to any subscription! But you are the exception). I live in Chile. I wanted to suggest you change the opening song because I don’t think the melody is uplifting - actually I find it a bit melancolic and the lyrics say “I’m a prisoner of this hill....”. Just a heartfelt suggestion. Thanks for all your incredible work. Thanks to you I have learnt enough about exploring, overlanding and using properly my 4 by 4, that at 60, I have travelled through the Atacama desert (the driest desert in the world!), have been to Aysen Province in the South of Chile and in a couple of weeks will be traveling to the island of Chiloe. Thanks again Francisco
I watch all your videos but rarely comment, but just wanted to echo and reinforce what others have said: this was not boring in the least. Thanks for letting us hang with you at your campsite, enjoyed it immensely.
I enjoyed the camp Andrew, and your right, ALDI is a great store. It was started in Germany by two brothers. Getting out on your own must be a nice break from the day to day grind. Someday...
For some months I once lived alone in a cabin near the Norwegian-Swedish border (logging). I had 10 km to my nearest neighbor and 25 to the store and it was regularly -35C outside during work. Still now, 40 yrs later, I think back and realize I never lived in a better and more fun place.
Hello dear Mr white. First I must say I enjoyed this vlog immensely! Second I can’t believe you don’t have friends! But if you wish I’ll be your friend. I watch your videos since the six wheeler in the desert. Please keep doing the good work! And give us your good advice. Thank you very much
Hi Andrew. I enjoyed chatting and having a beer with you - I actually was having a beer! I agree, blokes enjoy Aldi for the gear they can buy. I too purchased the cable ties and digital vernier. 👍😀 BTW: I absolutely guffaw at Eddie Izzard’s ‘Deathstar Canteen’ video every time I have seen it. I’m now going off to watch Robin Williams’ “how golf was invented” skit. Safe travels. Kind regards from Melbourne. Cheers, Jeff.
How have you got used to not being able to braai in the bush? I think it’s one of the best parts of overlanding / camping. About two years back, we were travelling through Khaudum and were “forced” to make pasta on the gas. It felt like it was one of the worst things that’s ever happened to me.
Have been approached only once during a 6 month lap of Australia. We were woken in the middle of the night and asked if we were alone and if we had dogs, they left and we assumed they would be back so we quickly packed up and camped the rest of the night 10km further down the road. Otherwise always felt very safe.
Truly enjoyed this a lot, definitely need to do this more often. Got the same tape recorder from my father, came with a little mic that plugged in at the top.
Andrew next time you're in the USA, you should checkout our showcase of imported cheap Chinese goods called Harbor Freight. I always find things I never knew I needed!
Great video Andrew, nice to see you're enjoying the Peroni's. Dream is to make the jump over the ditch after university in NZ and go cruising! Love your stuff, good health.
Aldi is the BEST supermarket style shop I have ever been to. There is almost always something interesting and the special gear changes from week to week. I actually drag the girls to Aldi to do the shopping. Some first class camping and 4x4 gear too. We have become a walking (or driving) advert for Aldi as we have bought so much of their gear. One or two dud items but most very good. Forgotten what mandarins are called and falling asleep when reading, I think you have joined me in the start of dotage :) A really nice chat, enjoyed it immensely. We obviously have very similar taste in comedy and views on other people...
Andrew, don't forget, you also LOVE shopping at BUNNINGS, and in W.A. they use bread rolls in their weekend sausage sizzles, that's why you like it !!, cheers.
“I always choose the one on top unless I choose otherwise.” Haha. I think I can add that to my list of favorite sayings. My kids will not be happy that I have found another one.
Kia Ora Andrew great video best wishes from your people here in Aotearoa/NZ have a cracking good time and enjoy that beer you deserve it yeah nahh yeah good on YAHH mate NGA MIHI E KOE Southern Cross Overland
Always enjoy your videos Andrew, would be good to hear your unbiased view on the William Painter’s as I too have been tempted, unfortunately I think they’ll want me to pay though 😂
Enjoyed that. Not so sure that I would like to do all that on my own. And not carrying a gun is great along with knowing what a naartjie is! I must say that I do feel safe here compared to SA.
Love these types of videos Andrew. They are so raw and give great insight into you as a person and the work you do. Keep up the great work. Thank you !
Jack Tas couldn’t agree more

It's fine here as well till you meet a Milat or Murdoch in your travels...
Reflection of the different people and expectations we have between must carry and maybe carry
Absolutely love this kind of video. It's so candid, and totally feels like I'm there with you. More of these please. I'm sure there's fairly easy to setup as well!
Do more of this. Kinda reminds me of myself when I solo camp and I have all kinds of random conversations with myself.
“I do not have many friends”. That was funny.
Andrew, brilliant! I could sit at a campfire with you, and listen to you the whole evening. You have a sublime, dry sense of humour, and I really like your honesty and directness. Special light makes it look outstanding. Many thanks.
Superp Andrew! Like talking around a campfire! And you talked very openly about yourself, beliefs related to guided party, money, independent work. Great!
Love your videos Andrew! It's a great thing to brainstorm! That's what makes us improve ourselves and our experiences.
It's like we're having dinner at the end of a day on the track. Great idea! Keep it up! ;)
A very relaxed and interesting video. I've just watched Robin Williams golf skit as well. Brought a tear to my eye.
Wonderful! Thoroughly enjoyable - watched twice in a row. Likewise, I ADORE traveling alone, solitude and magnificent wilderness - they are my only true friends! You are totally spot on with your opinion on comedy... so true. Look at the old stuff... simple works every time.
Funniest line ever by Andrew: “If I have to handle that brain damage, I better be paid for it”. Truly classic. I thought this was a VERY entertaining video!!! Thank you.
loved this! camp talk... listen to it while im working. makes me feel like im out on a trip. CHEERS from South AUS
Love it. Opening the prepacked food is classic. Keep on making these one man shows.
Love these free-form chats, especially with such an epic setting. Rabbit/ramble on!

That was fantastic thanks Andrew, very enjoyable, a great concept, cheers.
What a great refreshing film! A great insight into you. To quote you, its absolutely fantastic!
Again a fantastic video. You are talking like you have a 100+ people audience in front of you. Love it.
Fantastic video. Love how raw it was and how dry your sense of humour is!

P.S. Just re-watched Robin WIlliams golf bit...OMG I forgot how awesome that was. Just take the 5 minutes and go watch it, totally worth it.
Love this format, Andrew. Keep 'em coming!
I enjoyed the camp Andrew, and your right, ALDI is a great store. It was started in Germany by two brothers. Getting out on your own must be a nice break from the day to day grind. Someday...
Made me smile a lot with this one, do more please!
Brilliant vlog. You should do more of these little one on one style chats. I actually felt like I was there. Great work.
Great idea for a video !
For some months I once lived alone in a cabin near the Norwegian-Swedish border (logging). I had 10 km to my nearest neighbor and 25 to the store and it was regularly -35C outside during work. Still now, 40 yrs later, I think back and realize I never lived in a better and more fun place.
Really enjoyed that. If you feel like making more videos like this, Please do!
I like it, kept me engaged.. Keeping the topics interesting and relevant to a wide audience will be key.
Really enjoyed this video! So glad you are positive about camping/traveling in Africa...
Hope I'm not patronising here but it's good to see you're off the Coke!
You're not. And I'm not. I like Coke.
4xoverland funny how most people don’t really understand what it means to be patronizing lol. They think they do lol but really don’t lol

Awesome Video, love the candid 1 on 1 style
Truly enjoyed this a lot, definitely need to do this more often. Got the same tape recorder from my father, came with a little mic that plugged in at the top.
Gold Andrew. Thanks. btw I have a love hate relationship with ALDI. Love going there but hate the way I leave with less money every time.
Like it , love it Andrew no worries keep on going. I'm glad you're enjoying Australia.
Andrew next time you're in the USA, you should checkout our showcase of imported cheap Chinese goods called Harbor Freight. I always find things I never knew I needed!
Yep 👍Very enjoyable vid. Thanks Andrew.
Hilarious when you talked about suffering idiocy. Can really relate to that. 🍻
Saw the ads for those as well, looks pretty good
Great channel. One question, why do you keep the vehicle doors open??
Great video Andrew, nice to see you're enjoying the Peroni's. Dream is to make the jump over the ditch after university in NZ and go cruising! Love your stuff, good health.
This is wonderful! Tangents on tangents on tangents! 😁

I love to just hear him rant about the small stuff. Great video thank.
Even with your mouth full, your stories are so entertaining! :)
I enjoyed this video. What a great idea. Keep up the good work and glad you finally found some solitude. George.
If I were to travel with you it would be for the evening conversations like this.
“I always choose the one on top unless I choose otherwise.”
Haha. I think I can add that to my list of favorite sayings. My kids will not be happy that I have found another one.
Great videos Andrew keep em coming
Andrew, you can do this every day and my wife and I will enjoy every bit of your company in our living room.
Very genuine, great video!
My favorite episode of the last few months (a Patreon lifetime member).
I’m literally born in the desert yet I’m learning a lot from you. Thank you sir
I enjoyed this... More please.
Great video. Thank you.
I have to say Ken Dodd and Tommy Cooper were a couple of my favourite UK comedians. “An evening with Ken Dodd” was a great show to see live.
Really enjoyed that, thanks for sharing 👍😎
Great and very interesting video, i so wish you could have shared your recipe. Thank for the entertainment ASPW !
Excellent vlog and loved the honesty 👍
Really loved this video Andrew, I can appreciate the remoteness. Would love to do a similar thing myself
You crack me up. Very entertaining episode.
Andrew, is there anything with your rear storage units set up that you would completely change or modify now you have been using it for a fair while?

Always enjoy your videos Andrew, would be good to hear your unbiased view on the William Painter’s as I too have been tempted, unfortunately I think they’ll want me to pay though 😂
Glad I am not the only one that has problems opening ham packets🤣🤣
Fantastic video. Thank you.
Some times it is nice to pick out a beer and think about the country/area your drinking with.
Try listening to the ABC radio on the road - keeps you up with the weather.
Really great video. Ace.
Really felt personable
Enjoyed that. Not so sure that I would like to do all that on my own. And not carrying a gun is great along with knowing what a naartjie is! I must say that I do feel safe here compared to SA.
It’s the old adage when your times up no matter what you are armed with it’s not going to help .
Why are your spare tyres different?
I enjoy some of the stuff at Aldi as well.👍
