- Fresh from Mattel, and hitting Targets right now, the next batch of Hot Wheels Car Culture 2-packs. Let's have a look at the models and compare them to previous releases, with a little casting history mixed in of course.

I just found all of these at my local Target today. I was happy! I like them all, but the Datsun 2-pack is my favorite.

It appears that the casting on the T1 Van has been reworked a little. Check out the REAR LICENSE PLATE @ 9:40. They are clearly a different sized part of the base casting, thus requiring a different opening size on the Body casting.
Im in a european country and thankfully we have a guy that orders these from the us and i bought a set from him for the BREs (should have it in around a month or so). Super excited since the 510 and the 510 wagons are my favourite pieces to collect and as a fairly new collector i missed out on the older BREs (except the team transport) so its a really exciting feeling to finally be able to add some BREs to my 510 collection! and with the 4spoke jdm style wheels nonetheless! (my favourite real riders for oldschool jdm cars). Awesome video and its nice to see them compared to the other versions so i know what differences they have and tbh i like the newer ones better due to the more details and the great choice in wheels! (ik ik not as realistic as the vintage racing but looks better imo)

in my country Malaysia, the unaffordable red BRE costs around $1500 🤣

I have a red #46 BRE Datsun 510 from Greenlight but I've been waiting for another chance to get a Hot Wheels version of it ever since I missed the previous #46 BRE Datsun 510 when it was in Vintage Racing a whole decade ago (and I was collecting Vintage Racing at the time but I quite literally only ever found half of the available cars in stores). I know there was also the RedLine Club version but I'm in Canada and RLC is too expensive for me even before factor in international shipping and that's before it hit the secondary market.

Finally my Chevy valvoline would look great next to the Porsche valvoline looking forward to more valvolines towards the future from Hotwheels
The Datsun 510 and the Porsche 962 2-packs are my favorites here. The 'Mooneyes' VW 2-pack is cool too, but i don't think that 2-pack will be more popular as Mattel thinks than the Porsche 2-pack. We'll see. Card art is excellent as always, although the plastic packaging takes too much space if you want to display these as they are. Thanks for the presentation.

Hitting what Targets? not in Florida we have missed releases after releases all year. Walmarts same empty shelves, hardly ever any new cars?
We have target in Australia too, heard they aren't coming, why would they not.
to many Mooneyes variations in my opinion ,but the Datsun 2 pack is the one to get ,saw one guy at a target bought the whole case what a scumbag people who do that kind of shit and call themselves collectors then go resell them on eBay for insane prices are scalpers period , especially those retired folks who don't have nothing else to do

The T1 looks different from the side. The 'oo' in Moon is different and the flames are heavier.

Actually the "porsche racing" is based on the Rothmans livery, though it looks like the Valvoline one indeed.

This Custom Beetle is the version with the center pipe, not the small dual pipes.
Dual pipes is plastic base. Single pipe is metal base.
Loving the BRE Datsun set! I only have the Team Transport release currently. I’m a big Porsche fan, but have to say Valvoline 962 isn’t my favorite. A shame the other car in the set is a straight repack.

So at (6:24) the Moon Eyes VW Bus and the Bug set and the Porsche premium sets and Team Transport sets you can no longer touch them... I was at a Swap Meet in Chino Hills and saw a guy who was selling Hot Wheels Team Transport sets and I asked him how much for the Team Transport sets and he said on this side of the table I'm asking $25.00 and this side $35.00 and I can't pay it so he had Hot Wheels on the card for $2.00-$3.00 and I thought he was just selling them but they were his collection he was selling because you can't even touch them he said saying people are asking stupid money for something that cost $12.97 at Walmart and he said that you can't even get them or regular Hot Wheels anymore because older Dad's that have a business selling Hot Wheels and other popular Diecast cars are going for Stupid money and the people that work in the back at Walmart are taking them and I also hear from a guy at another Swap Meet a guy who sells them was approached by the manager asking him if he wanted a box of Hot Wheels and said give me $20.00 and I will give you them... He said that was too much so he gave him $10.00 to let him know when they get more Hot Wheels but apparently, he told other people because when he got there, there were 7 other people that wanted Hot Wheels he told him thinking he would just let him know about them... This is wrong... Walmart is supposed to put the Hot Wheels on the pegs and the shelves... There are other people like little kids that like Hot Wheels too and they can't get any... You also have Scalpers who are taking them to sell on eBay for more money to make a quick buck... People that go to Walmart give another guy's a bad name by taking the box cutters and opening the boxes going to a different aisle and opening them so other collectors don't see them... They leave a mess in the Hot Wheels section and don't clean up their mess. No one is talking about how people are taking the Hot Wheels at Walmart and the manager not having them put on the pegs and the shelves... I can never get any and if I see them at a Swap Meet they want $20.00-$35.00 and I saw another one that was out of the box that was meant and I thought maybe this one will be cheaper... No, they were still asking $25.00 for it... and one guy was asking $5.00-$7.00 for a car that was only a dollar that was not some special or rare car... I am having Walmart investigated for their crimes... This is so wrong... Frank & Son's collectibles don't want to give you anything for your Team Transport sets etc but will turn around and sell it for $25-$35.00 and rip you off on their prices... We can't even get the Super Treasure Hunts because people that collect them are taking them all and not leaving any for other people... When I was at a Swap Meet a guy that sold them said they changed the way they looked because the workers at Walmart in the back were taking them so they changed the way they looked so they could not take them now people know what they look like and Walmart is not doing their job and this is wrong.
you forgot to compare the Mooneyes Custom beetle with the Air cooled one.. I think that's the first premium of that casting

I found a complete case 📦 at target 🎯 and yes I bought all of them. #hoarder
All three sets are awesome, the Datsuns is the set that I want to find the most so I can keep the collection complete. I think Joe Biden should have put some money in his infrastructure package so we can all acquire these sets, new cars should be considered infrastructure for our diecast rooms lol.
