I think Aaron would appreciate Terroni but it would probably not be for him. It’s too bitter and cashmarean bomb in the dry down with lots of Vetiver

I totally agree that the marketing does not match the scent but I have to say I absolutely love the smell of this fragrance, its the most beautiful vacation vibe scent to me.

If you want a really dark fragrance from this house, you should try Mortal Skin. It’s very balsamic and has an ink note making super interesting!

marketing and name aside i find it hard to believe it's not radiant or strong for you. when my wife sprays this on upstairs in our bedroom -- i can smell it downstairs, down the hallway, in my office. that to me is pretty beastly. i always took the fire to be in relation to the color of mango and tropical fruits, not so much as smoke and darkness but i get what he is saying there. i love it - wife loves it. always gets compliments.
It smells really good to me partially because im a big fan of mango. I disagree with you about the projection and longevity though... It doesn't last too long on me, and it projects mainly because of the heat here.
Aaron this fragrance bangs in the summer nights going for a night out to a date! The compliments i got of this in summer was amazing around 6-7 people have bought this because of smelling it of me! Try sand dance from the same house! I think ud like that 🤙. Overall decent review!
I do have God of Fire snd I love it haha it is just a ramped up version of Erba Pura and easy to wear…summer fragrance specially on hot nights whem you go on a date
True. Overhyped to the moon for a simple designer. A reminder to sample before buying and not just listen to tiktok.

I was really close to buying the bottle simply because I was mesmerized by the bottle design. I’m glad I bought the decants first from 2 different sources just to compare. It was a huge disappointment. It smelled like a mango car air freshener. Never fall for the hype and sample first

I would love you to do a review on very popular and unique Mancera Tonka Cola, cherry cola vibe, heavy on patchouli and cinnamon, very sweet spicy with fresh fruity touch.

Short review: it's a cheap overpriced vanilla frag. Should cost 80£ at least, end of review 😂
Before waching this review, this smell was so disappointing to me, personally. Smelled very synthetic to me and not what I was expecting at all. Not what I was expecting from the name and not what I was expecting from a niche brand. Kinda average? Nothing exciting, despite all the hype online.
Edit: well. Pretty much everything Aaron said. Surprised he didn't mention the synthetic-ish smell. Very overpriced for what it is.

Such a bummer that it seems to be just a generic sweet, clean fragrance with such an awesome name and marketing. I'm not even a perfumer, but I feel like there's so many awesome and creative directions they could go. Like, cocoa to evoke the culture they're using for inspiration.
I felt the same exact way smelling this for the first time. All the perfume reviewers were saying how amazing it was and I thought it was just “okay”. Yeah it smells good, but it’s pretty much just an inoffensive designer to me.

I think you focused too much on the name. I have a clone of this and it's nice. Very bright and fruity with a bit of oud darkness. Easy to wear, good for warm weather, and more unique compared to most fresh scents. However, it's not kind blowing either
What a shame that so many influencers are paid to give positive statements about the fragrance or receive a free bottle. The scent is okay, but nothing more. Thank you for your honest opinion
One of my favorite fragrances this fragrance is so beautiful. Scentual Obsessions makes a dupe called Fire Power that’s literally a 1:1 match

If anyone is interested in a dupe of this sceptre malachite is absolutely amazing and really lasts for £35. Not quite the weather for it here in Scotland now though 😢

Oh nooo, I've seen this hyped up a lot. sometimes expectation is the thief of joy. Very cool name but bottom line it has to smell good and perform well.
Haven't got my nose on this one yet but to all the GoF fans out there keep your chin up, he didn't love Oud Maracuja either which stung just a little bit. 😢
I liked the idea of mango and ginger, and emphasis on spices. Tiger by Zoologist kinda goes in that direction with the kumquat and cardamom, it’s so spicy and dry. I was hoping this would be like that.

I really like God of Fire. I think it's a fun, tropical fragrance that has some depth to it. Great for going out on a summer night and/or on vacation. Maybe our tastes are just different, because I was disappointed in Fever.
Looking forward to you reviewing jusbox fragrances black powder and fifty four are really good. Bottles and packaging are some of the best I have come across
I think you'd prefer Oumma by Stephanie Humbolt Lucas it is more expensive at £345 for 50ml but it is a stunning rose, balsam smokey oud scent. Or better value Russian Tea from Masque Milano a powerful smokey tea scent based on Russian caravan tea at around £90 for 35ml from discounters.
I totally agree. I bought it. It’s not bad, just not great. It doesn’t match the name. I still wear it, but I was disappointed as well.
Oops what an unfortunate! I really lovee the name and the bottle too, too bad it doesn't live up... btw, Aaron, if you're really looking for the actual "God of Fire", try getting your hands on either Heretic Poltergeist or Zoologist Tyrannosaurus Rex-these two are literally BURNING 😅

Love your work Aaron and have been a fan since the first release of SLUT. Blood Orange and Daddy are my other favourites from your lines and I'll be trying more soon. I do wish you would try the Electimuss line of fragrances. I think they are absolutely brilliant for the cost and the presentation is equally amazing. Please keep up the great work and never sacrifice your art.
I think I speak for the majority audience here, but I’d love to hear you go more in depth about the direction you’d go with these and sort of different ways that a formula could be built.
Granted, none of us are chemists but I’ve gained a small understanding of what I’m smelling by just watching your videos and smelling some of the perfumes you’re reviewing alongside it.

Venom incarnat by the same perfumer is the BEST in the line,,, the hype round god of fire was just crazy when it came out !

just another overhyped tiktok fragrance to be honest ... when a kid who has only just finished puberty is recommending a fragrance there is a fair chance it sucks.
Aarons reviews are always spot on ... hes nose is and reviews are one of only a handful i listen to.

Personally I also think the there is nothing wrong with the scent, but I wouldn't call a sweet fruity fragrance God of Fire😮
Black gemstone is their best imo. Superb dark and resinous scent. Sand dance was ok. Not a fan of mortal skin, god of fire, or crying of evil.
I would love it if you reviewed more perfumes from this line, especially sand dance.
I do think that god of fire is a bit misleading for the smell you get, but I also think that ATH truly prefers darker perfumes. Definitely try out mortal skin, it'll be more up your alley 👍

I was lucky enough to walk to the top of the pyramid. I think they have stopped you now as the steps are wearing away in chichen itza

Serpent collection has what you are looking for , with this creation they meant a fruity one , however I understand your point about the name and the smell agree with that.

I was also so let down by my sample. It was so hyped and then it just kind of smelled like barnyard on me for some reason.

It's an amazing scent ...I envision a snake that just shed its skin slithering through a sexual damp soil in the Amazon.
Unfortunately....it's a 5 minute skin scent.
Apparently it's blackberry and ink that is the heart of the scent.
If it had longevity it would be legendary.

Love Stephane Humbert Lucas' work! Crying of Evil is one of my favorite fragrances, he happened to do that one as well... that one might be more of what you were looking for with the description "God of Fire". Much more rich, ambery, woody, smoky even.
