lovely video i have been here yet i don't think this deck was built at the time . when i visited the new tokyo tower was still under construction . yet i did go up the old tokyo tower at the time
Your videos were really helpful for my visit to LA last April. With another holiday booked next winter in Japan, can't wait to see your next tranche of videos! Really enjoyable watches. :-)
To admire the views of Tokyo, in previous years, I have been to both the Metropolitan Towers and The Skytree Tower. Thank you for highlighting another amazing option. Great video, thank you for sharing.
Wow ! Amazing Observation Deck! When we went to Tokyo in Spring 2019 it wasn't open yet. We will definitely add it to our sites to see when we return to Tokyo. Thanks Chris
Hi Chris. Thank you for the video on Shibuya Sky Tower. Great views during the day and night. The open air escalator going to the rooftop does have great views of the city. That night mode picture is really amazing.. The trick art photo is great. For me I would like to see the people crossing the Shibuya Scramble. That would make a great photo. Thanks for sharing and take care.
Hi was there a month ago - the tables you saw behind the lights - you can book a food / drink package (we did it online) and sit in those seats near the tables, enjoy your nibbles and drinks
My wife and I are heading to Japan in October for our 20-year Anniversary. Thanks for the info on the camera strap. Does this apply to the other towers as well?
Thank you. I really want to hit that up when I'm out there. The views do look AMAZING. But it seems like 20 mins is not enough time. I'll definitely have to make a reservation.
I was wondering why they would have Rio De Janeiro pointing north, but just found out Rio is basically the antipode of Tokyo, so technically you could point to it from anywhere on the graphic and it will be the same distance. Very interesting.
Oh, interesting option. Have only been to the Observation Deck on Mori Art Center (Roppongi Hills) because I wanted to see Tokyo Sky Tree and Tokyo Tower and I just like to have my deck without a roof. Guess this shibuya spot checks all boxes😃

Thanks Jimmy!
Wao looking amazing from top. One day I will visit this palace.

Me too dude it's gonna be awesome
I love Japan

Thanks Steven.. I'll be putting a few more Japan videos out over the next few days. So stay tuned 😉
That’s incredible! Holy wow!!

This one should definitely be on your list then ;)
Great video! Very comprehensive I'm excited to visit this next time I'm in Tokyo!
Have fun!
I really hope I'll be able to go there... whenever I do finally go back to Japan
Ok, thanks for the info.

Awesome Colleen!

Thanks James! Tallest open air escalator that I've ever ridden for sure!
Now that looks like my kind of place! The views from the top there look incredible at night.
Hi Chris! Welcome to Japan!🇯🇵
Super amazing video

Nice! Thanks for that tip Antony!
Great video❤❤❤❤
How would the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building observation deck fit on your ranking?
Name at tokyo’s
Super fun
I hope to visit Japan before I die.
Lovely Vid, do you need to prebook the paradise lounge to eat and drink ? Thanks 🙏
Awesome 😎
WOW! And I thought the top of the Stratosphere was cool... mainly the Big Shot! This looks way cooler 😎💛💛💛
This IS way cooler! 😉
THATS SICKK
My wife and I are heading to Japan in October for our 20-year Anniversary. Thanks for the info on the camera strap. Does this apply to the other towers as well?
The camera strap is just if it's outside. Most of the other observatories in Tokyo are inside
Oh man should I go at day or night 😬
Thank you. I really want to hit that up when I'm out there. The views do look AMAZING. But it seems like 20 mins is not enough time. I'll definitely have to make a reservation.
Yeah. You'll probably want at least an hour on top
@@YellowProductions Oh you can pay for more time, good to know.
Haichi like the movie about the dog with Richard Gere? Wow!
I mean, hachi is originally from shibuya
That location seems t🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵o be right for me. At night, the views from the summit seem amazing.😊😊💕💕💕
I was wondering why they would have Rio De Janeiro pointing north, but just found out Rio is basically the antipode of Tokyo, so technically you could point to it from anywhere on the graphic and it will be the same distance. Very interesting.
Neat
Hey Chris, I don't think you mentioned the height in feet at the top floor of the skydeck?
Oh, interesting option. Have only been to the Observation Deck on Mori Art Center (Roppongi Hills) because I wanted to see Tokyo Sky Tree and Tokyo Tower and I just like to have my deck without a roof. Guess this shibuya spot checks all boxes😃
You mentioned about camera neck strap, but what about handheld camera such as GoPro or Insta360 for example. Can i still bring it with me?
At the time I was there ANY camera had to have a neck strap. Even small cameras. Current policy might be different
Good evening.
Arisa really enjoyed your video.
As a Japanese, Papa was very happy.
Thank you very much.
We hope you guys have a good year.
Thanks. Happy new year to you too!
do they have machines to exchange bills for coins?
I'm wondering when was this filmed?
Feb 2020.. right before Japan shut down
Did your ticket work for both night and day viewing or did you have to buy two separate tickets?
Two different tickets as we went on 2 different days
@@YellowProductions do you know if you can use your ticket again if it's during the same day or do you have to re-purchase one?
@@landporte1593日本人です。ここは一度退場すると再入場には新たにチケットを買う必要があります。しかし、一度入ると退場しない限り朝から夜までこの場所にいることができます。
How much is thé admission???
You are cool 😎
Hi do you think is safe to travel to Japan alone 😔
Quite safe yes
So if you only have a mobile phone as your camera? Can you take that up there? And if so, would you need a neck strap for that as well?
At the time I was there they didn't seem to care about cell phones
Does the neck strap apply to cell phones too?
At the time i visited Cell phones were fine hand held. Just anything that looked like a real camera needed a neck strap
@@YellowProductions thanks!
Do they allow tripods?
I don't think so
how much time can we spend at Shibuya sky? Would 1 and half hour be enough to enjoy it thoroughly?
I think 90 mins is plenty
That's a big nope from me! 😬 My palms are sweating watching this! 💀
hi, if i booked thru klook, i chose the 2pm time but i might go around 5 pm, is that okay? or shall i go within the time frame i chose? thanks!!
You should go with the time frame you chose
Thank you. I will visit Japan in spring. I look forward to it!
Awesome K9!
HOPE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY HAD A GREAT CHRISTMAS CHRIS! INCLUDING YOUR DAD. :-)
Thanks M P!
Great video but it really triggered my vertigo. I think it would be a no from me visiting this location if I ever went to Japan.
It is pretty high!
I have heard that the Tokyo government buildings have a free observation deck. Is it worth paying for this view vs the free government building views?
This is definitely way better than the Tokyo government buildings
That area has an skyline of its own
Newest observatory?? I was there opening night two years ago…
Update: it was three years ago 11/2019
Yeah. And it's still the newest Observatory. Is there a newer one? 😉
@@YellowProductions haha, good one, you are correct. When I went up it was just before the CV19 outbreak.
Sukuna is gonna bomb it again💀from jujutsu kaisen
Have you seen scramble crossing in India? Happens everywhere...🤣
Hah
The title is a little.... funny... Makes it sounds as if this building was just built, when it fact it has been around for years...
With COVID most people haven't been able to visit and experience this Observatory since its been open.
Tokyo Skytree is terrible, visited a few weeks ago. Overcrowded and hardly any activities.
Bummer!
Why are you saying Shibuya like that? Lol
How old is this video when was it made
Recorded Feb 2020
