Just a word of caution. Even with the power switch off, some wires are still energized under the base. Best to unplug the unit from the outlet when adjusting the pstat.
Adhi Perwira Consider all conditions and having balance setting : 1) the better pre-infusion pressure is 1.0~2.0 bar. 0.5bar is too weak for pre-infusion. 2) the better extracting temperature should be at 88~92 degree C. So the pressure as lower as possible. Boiler pressure means water tmperature. 0.75bar = 117degrees C 0.9bar = 119degree C higher pressure means hotter water that will make extracting bitter (higher group head temperature.) 3) in order to having powerful steam that pressure should set up as higher as possible (1.0 ~ 1.1bar ) In order to balance above conditions, it’s better to set up lever machine boiler pressure at 0.75~0.9bar. ps. Depends on persons Someone setting at 0.5bar. Or 1.0bar .
If pressure is still increasing to the point that safety valve starts releasing steam, what is the issue (you mentioned it in video)? Calcification of pipe leading to pressure valve? Failed pressure valve?
Goran Lazarev if the pressure is still increasing to the point that safety valve starts releasing steam that means “pressure-state” was out of working. You better to replace it as soon as possible.
@@LaPavoniBPLUS I have a pre-millenium Europiccola (copper/brass, metal sight glass cover) and it always blows steam from the safety valve. I don't have a pressure gauge. I've never tried adjusting the pressurestat - I didn't know it was adjustable! Do the older models have adjustments like this? Thanks!

Thank you so much, my professional switches off the pressure at 1.1 and i start to get bitter notes and the group overheating
Excellent vid mate thanks for sharing.
Where does one get the special screwdriver? The Torx screwdrivers commonly sold in hardware stores do not have the hole.
It's a security Torx. Well stocked hardware stores should have them.
Hi
My La Pavoni pressure keeps going up to 2 bars and it started doing that this morning .
Any suggestions on what needs to be replaced ?
Thanks
You may need to replace the pressurestate.

Why we should maintain the pressure in 0.75- 0.9 bar? :-?

Sir , so I can adjust La Pavoni temperature to 92c ??
How to adjust pressurestat with out a pressure gauge like on the Europiccola?
Then there is no way. It is recommended that you can buy a pressure gauge and a adaptor with special specifications.
