It appears that Bin Warehouse has discontinued this box. I'm wondering if anyone found a similarly sized, commercially available folding storage box that might be a suitable candidate for a DIY darkbox.
I'm on the hunt too, no luck yet besides PROSLAT selling what seems to be a cheaper version of the bin warehouse box, it doesnt appear to be made out of pvc, looks a bit cheap. I'm not quite sure about it, there's no real description.
What red gel do you use? You've seen my box, Robby, but I'll add what I use here. Rosco Roscolux 19 Fire Gel. One layer is not UV-safe in the sunlight but I've never tried doubling it up. It's perfectly fine for working indoors as long as your indoor light isn't right over the box. Since it's not outdoor safe, I use a black shroud over my head on location. Because of the shroud, I don't NEED the red gel so I use a clear one (for added visibility and to prevent splashes hitting my face). So I put velcro around the edges of the gels to swap them in and out as needed- depending on where I'm shooting.
I think this one I used some no name brand gel, but I haven't tested this particular one in full sunlight yet. The one I got from Anton works fine in the sunlight but I'm not sure what gel he used. I know rubylith is the standard recommendation
There's no one I know of who just sells it through a regular web store. When I first got started I paid Anton Orlov to make mine, you might want to get in touch with him and see if he'd be interested in making one for you
Bravo, smart solution !
Well done!

Great video! Is the bastardbox for sale? Or we will have to do the modification ourselves?
