The experiment is a nice idea, but when you do it with a team like man city there is no challenge. They got the cash to buy a brand new strong team in 2-3 seasons time. There's no challenge, only a slight inconvinience for teams like man city.

Use the youth scouts for this. With training some players can be in the 70s in their first season and it is cheap and youre able to get players year round.

Use Cutzy YSL career mode to maybe do a rebuild based off that idea. Would love to see you use the youth system more in your career mode.
Fifa King it takes a lot longer but very rewarding if you plan to play with the team.
