The perks are such a good addition to the game. Not only are they interesting for but perks also gives devs another lever to balance legends.
thats most perks already, the option to revert nerfs they did in the 20 patch.
i dont like it, to be clear. i think reverting nerfs as a perk isnt the way to balance.
You have NOT BALANCED anything AT ALL. SINCE all the legends were buffed all of the weak legends are still the weakest while the strongest are still the Strongest
I took a long break from Apex because i just couldn't stomach it anymore, but i had to jump on for season 20 just to try all the new stuff...i think the game is in the best state it's been in in years.

Love this season because it has given me hope the game will continue to get better. They gave me hope😅 im doomed 😂
The perk system is a breath of fresh air I was mad at first about there not being a new legend but now I take it as we got all new legends to a degree
I've played straight shot more than anything else but i would kill for 3 strikes to return with the new changes this season.
Love your videos man, you bring such high level analysis to all aspects of the game that at the end of me watching I already feel like a better player. Been playing Apex since day one, and cant believe I have put so much time and energy into a free to play game. There really isnt anything out there quiet as satisfying as Apex.
I LOVE the perk system it gives each match something to grind for instead of just the go for a win mindset. I do think ash and revenant could use better perks but other than those two I’m loving the whole system !

You do NOT know what you’re asking for more revenant buffs. He is literally meta with a conduit synergy. If the two legends know the perfect time to use their shields in a gun fight they are almost unstoppable. Not to mention the gun damage nerfs does NOT help
I hope they add red perks and maybe even some white ones that are weak but you can choose after u select your legend or off drop
Red perk Crypto, passively regenerate health and shields when controlling drone

I hope one day that Seer gets some sort of buff or perk where he can disable/silence placeable abilities and traps with his tac like everyone assumed when intially seeing his launch trailer. Just some sort of utility to make him not just 3 ways to scan, atleast make him more interesting to play.

Playing seer has been torture for this challenge. So I second this but nothing like back when his hairloom came out😂😂

I return to Apex a couple months ago in see they changed revenant 🤣🤦
I'm rev main so I was salty but got use to it ..
Perks comes out , Rev literally has the same damn perks , literally pointless 🤣
So I quit Apex in went to Helldivers & dying light 2 💯🔥

For a vid I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts more in depth on the Straight Shot LTM. Like what parts are your favorite compared to regular BR and if you were to make improvements how would you change Straight Shot?
I think the mode is interesting but for me personally I feel like it's missing something, like the drops don't feel hotter and when I drop in sometimes the other team takes off and I don't even get that first fight. But I'd like to hear what changes you'd make, if any.
An EXP cap would solve cheating. Make someone put 80 hours into pubs before being able to get into ranked.
Lifeline should get buffed as in her getting a reduced fast heal or her rev shield bck as blue upgrades she’s been bottom of the barrel for 10 seasons now

this is the best season for me. i quit apex about a year or 2 ago cuz its been like it always has.... but now it feels so balanced. like gunfights and gameplay matters
New armor aystem is so good, done are the days landing with a p2020 and going agaisnt an r9 withh purp armor

As a player of TF1 and TF2 and Apex since day 0 the game is in an amazing state!!🔥
Perk system and armor rework is a good start but when it comes to rank it's either rats looking for LP or still cheaters in high ranks especially with the new fly hack and teamers
We need to petition to keep Straight Shot as a permanent mode
I will probably stop playing once its gone. They didn't fix MM in pubs.
I just wish the map in straight shot was smaller. Most of my games there are three squads in the end and you have to actively search them or make noise so they come to you
@@NeonXXP Pubs is for everyone, doesn't matter if you want only low level noobs in your match.

And now instead of adding a new gun Respawn will destroy Valkyrie once again.
Also knowing how Respawn operates, instead of nerfing her ult alone they will nerf everything to the ground to start exhume her again 5 seasons later

Seems like a great effort to change things. But for me it's rich get richer and poor get poorer. Season 20 changes HEAVILY benefit great players in pre-made (communicating) teams and at the same time penalising un co-ordinated (no comms - solo's) teams. The ability for average players to compete is vastly reduced now.
The Havoc feels so nice this season to me, and without a turbo I usually just prefire a bit I usually know when I’m gonna shoot but you can waste some shots doing that

Straight shots quick matchmaking and instant action has me playing again. The other Battle Royales need to take notes. Load times in Battle Royales are atrocious and typically I spend more time in load screens and matchmaking than I do playing the game. Straight shot is a game changer.
The hacking in platinum and above is the worst in the history of apex. Such a shame, season could have been great.
Week 1 was fun and engaging with the perk system. Week 2… friggin’ cheaters! Why the lowered the level for ranked games baffles me. 😢😢
Perks are very cool, if I wasn’t spending all my time spreading democracy I’d be full on headfirst into this new season.
I love the new Perk systeam , I think that increasing the level of shield like this now is much more balanced, because certainly, as has happened to many people, I feel that the other player does not have as much shooting or ability, but since in the beginning of the game we have a white shield and another catches a purple shield, I often died due to the luck of others picking up a high level shield, now it's much easier and more balanced
"No new map, legend or weapon" always treat that as an amazing thing... Do you want them to use their resources and time for another broken moon & charge rifle or fix the games big problem? They are trying to fix ranked, they are adding a gameplay changing feature/mechanic... Crafters & evo were 14+ seasons ago.
RE45 with or without hop up is strong as a secondary. TTK and reload are fast.
been loving the RE this szn, one of 4 guns i have the badge for, & i think i went from like lvl 12 to lvl 22 just this szn

Well im still fighting masters in rookie and its been a few weeks now since season 20. Nothing has changed just balloons in the skys and nerfs to guns, NOTHING CHANGED, NOTHING 😢
The best thing about Straight Shot : purple or gold P2020 and Mozambique (hammer point equiped).
I won a game with both at the end. That was fun !
I would pay 10-15$ for an Apex “prime” similar to CSGO prime account where it is much harder to get hackers in the lobby
It was fun for the first few days, but now the matchmaking is completely broken again. Every round master and players who have 50k kills
People are only completing the legend challenges to unlock the pay to win reactive Flatline skin and rightly so.
Gibby being at the bottom proves he needs a rework. No movement and a large hitbox just cannot work in a BR game. Redo Gibby!!
Crypto is my sleeper, but probably requires someone who has played the game enough to have movement mechanics down. Also need the game-sense to be effective.
played a game with my homie and while i was downed during late game he and the last person left were fighting in the air dragonball style using their guns to fly, i swear to god its fucking hilarious. nearly collapsed one of my lungs watching the tomfoolery. apex is wild rn.
the game still sucks. It'll continue to suck as long as there are issues with MM, cheaters, audio, bugs...etc. Who cares about new content when there are all these issues. It's not enjoyable.
Idk why everyone is so happy that a billion dollar company has actually started working on thier game after letting it slowly die for 3 years.

Destroyer has been ruining ranked on Console for a while now. I chose to stay on console hoping not to get aimboted but here we are
The game hasn’t gotten any better it’s in the same state just perks added something new to the game but overall it’s the same issues

I hate that I came back to Apex and got locked out of my old account and EA CS sucks atrociously. I had to make a whole new account. Their lucky I really do enjoy this game
I think the crafting change is under rated. When i think back now. I spent so much tike gathering materials. Crafting batteries / hop ups, upgrading shields. It just slowed the game down.

Its super fun, however playing high competitive, scrims ranked and tournaments are now a little unbalanced. They in my opinion need to make some tweaks there.
It's okay if it's unbalanced. You're never going to get good beating people you can beat. It's like playing chess and you have to play somebody better than you. It helps you to learn from your mistakes and helps you to get better. I love playing people better than me for that reason.
@@Darth_Raider_ This is very true. However frequently playing against PROS becomes frustrating and tiring very quickly. They need some form of SBMM in ALL modes. It's really not fun playing with or against people just learning or those that are extrememly skilled. Within a range of your current skillset would make the game far more enjoyable IMO.

Ray and 1v3 Day nice clip! Also, I love dual Mozambique. It has a lot of notable range that actually keeps persistent pressure on squads. As a result, I am trying to run them with Gibby since I am still learning how to utilize his perk and the gold shotgun barrel.
I am still a solo Valk main until I find a decent squad in public lobbies. The new Valk perks really help keep placement on both map and in match. Verhulst posted a good Valk vid with his other 2 and they seem to have a good thing going with the skyward dive again. It was interesting to see Hal as Bloodhound as well but it makes sense for them to be keeping full range of motion with most meta possibilities. mnk seems to be keeping the pace moving as well.
Also, I feel like good sentinel as a secondary seems to hit very well this season, especially with a good sack of cells. Any 3 round burst seems to be a standard now, especially after TSM's display at last years algs-- very uniform and conservative load out when gaining yardage in the lobby.
I have this hope that people will play a bit more defense this season since lifeline, Wattson, conduit, gibby, and even mirage have the ability to heal others in ways that make a team stronger than any other season ive seen.
I hate cheaters. Most lobbies the past few seasons I have dropped into publicly always has the same bullies who cheat on my squad or others. I always report them, anything suspicious is reason enough for me to do so. I hope more people become banned from competitive lobbies. Thank goodness for the Furia his & hers lobbies to help one rank and fix their K/D. I just joined and I look forward to putting in 8-12 hours a day in when the opportunity arises.

The gameplay itself is so much fun. Came back after a break and the perk system really reinvented the game. Too bad the ranked experience is still totally unenjoyable, it's plagued with cheaters and smurfs :(

I’ve had a big issue with ddos this season. I’m a diamond level ranked player and it’s probably once every ten games lag will hit me as soon as I start fighting a team. It’s pretty obvious they are doing it. It’s annoying but just go next ig
Yup cheating is the main issue they need to fix. “Free to pay” it only cost about a couple hundred dollars for heirlooms, prestige skin. They make enough money to put dedicate some resources to anti cheat. I mean if it’s that easy and ea doesn’t care, I see why a lot of people cheat.
The 120 fps and shield system is so perfect and so damn fun. This is now my number 1 when it comes to games. I would just like to have a few good teammates who play with their brains 😅
This season has been amazing thus far I feel like I was better last season lol I’ve been dying a lot more and easier felt really sweaty especially in ranked I know players all got dropped down but I just feel like I’m getting lit up and knocked way to quickly and with solo q this is maddening
Conduit is a funny character with a funny personality and it's pretty much the only viable support legend for solo players* (especially when randoms pick movement legends), so I don't think it should be nerfed further
*"Solo Players" Which means that she gets picked a lot but also that she should stay available as a character without being nerfed to the ground Respawn style

I haven’t played apex in ages, but seeing my friends play straight shot made me excited to play again. Really enjoying playing right now.
Cheaters are cheap. To play a competitive mode, make them have to buy the battle pass. Destiny 2 did that and it had a huge impact.
In my opinion, this is what i believe Respawn wanted Apex in the beginning to be. I am here for it and love Season 20.

Yep, I've been having great matching with people on my level and fair fights. I've heard people say they still see preds every other game, i feel for them.
@@shalindelta7im playing in gold lobbies atm and every 3rd game has preds as the champion squad. That probably wont change too since this ranked system matches dia and masters players together to queue faster which automatically includes pred players too
Horrible now for solo queue players, the worst state ever for solo queue players who like to casually play in pubs. I uninstalled it last season in the beginning and have done the same after playing a week of this new season. What I experienced last season is 10x worse this season in solo que pubs. Uninstalled and will never touch it again. I am normally a 2kd on console and a 1.5kd on pc. I enjoyed playing pubs casually since season 7 when I started. Worst game ever now, by far the worst fps BR for solo players. I have spent over 2-3k on this game, but it's so bad now, that I would never touch it again. This season was either going bring me back or end it for me permanently. Im out.... permanently. No amount of free BS will warrant me to play this crap anymore.

Something I've thought about is, if you reach Predator you should have to pay X amount of money to keep playing. The logic behind it is, for any serious Predator, they've likely already spent a lot of money or would likely be willing to spend at least $25 or whatever considering how much time they've invested. On top of the knowledge that this is helping cheaters stay out of their games.
You could make the money spent still be usable on cosmetics so it isn't just stealing money but I think basically all pros and top players would like a feature like this
so, punish good players?
