Thank you, this was nice to see. I would like to watch you do all of the tasks of the restoration including the cleaning, flushing, sanding, polishing, and finishing the knife. Very nice work.
Mfg
In all my time collecting i came across that wood carving Victorinox online only once, and neither the seller and I didn't know what period/year was from. I didn't buy it because I opted for another model that I could date it, but I always wander why I couldn't find nothing about this wood carving Victorinox online. That is until I stumbled upon your video, so please if you have any idea on this model could you tell me. When it was made and why I couldn't find nothing on it online, it is really that rare of a model ? 🤔 PS. I'm referring to the sixth from the left.
@@dereidgenosse5247 Understood- sometimes the etches are not so strong. One thing I have tried in the past with some success is to cover the etch with very small strips of masking tape before sanding (just big enough to cover the letters). I then remove it when I get up to the higher grits of sandpaper, say 2000-2500. There will still be any scratches directly over the lettering, but the entire blade should have the same luster. And if you don't like the results, it can easily be changed. Cheers!

Moin weisst du zufällig noch wie das messer genau heißt?
Hätte durchaus Interesse..
Gorgeous results, looks new again. Did the blade etch remain or was it too shallow? Thanks for sharing!
HobieonRUclips the blade etch had to good because of the scratches 😬
