    Вітаю!!! Робота супер як завжди! Складні ножі тобі вдаються супер, роби побільше, можна таких цікавих, зрештою інші речі в тебе супер виходять. Ну деколи може втрачається трохи автентичність, ну але це вже хто як любить. P. S Ніж скоріш за все не швейцарець а француз, Pradel десь 60-70 вони такі хрести тоже ставили.

  • @CRIS.V1891

    Awesome job men ! I know that it has the Cross on the scales, but this looks much more like a France Pradel pocket knife. Plus it has no other mark's on the blade tang or the other implements, so maybe it is a Pradel pocket knife made for the France part of Switzerland. And that is why it doesn't have Pradel written on the blade, and no tang stamp either. Because it clearly isn't a Wenger or a Victorinox knife. But more like it copied some feature's from Victorinox, because Pradel used to copy som implements designer from them. And their logo is similar to the shield with the Cross on it, like the one Wenger and Victorinox used. But the Pradel logo it is actually a flag with a Cross on it not a shield, like it is confused with.

    • @edctoolbox9394
      @edctoolbox9394 2 года назад +2

      Yes, usually I see these pradel knives with the flag behind the cross, and they are not as rare as ReXtorer says, I've seen plenty of these being sold in serveral online 2nd hand sites, usually for quite cheap, like around 20€ but they also thend to be in bad shape, but this is beacuse these knives are not very high quality, cracking scales and rusted/broken blades are a very common occurance. I still want one in my collection though, but finding a good one proves to be quite hard.

    nice restauration, for your information this knife is'nt a rare Swiss Army Knife , it's a french made knife, around 40's to 60' and common in France

    • @KRIMZONMEKANISM
      @KRIMZONMEKANISM 9 месяцев назад

      I knew it wasn't an SAK, but I didn't know this was a french knife, thanks for that. :)
      Victorinox are purists with their designs and this strays too far from what they usually do.

    Awesome restoration ! Thanks for the show. But I don't think it's a genuine swiss army knife though, not even a swiss knife : it has no stamp on the tang. It's rather a french (or german ?) knife, produced in one of these countless semi-industrial workshops in Thiers (likely) or maybe Solingen. These 50's, 60's multiblades are decent alternatives to swiss pocket knives. I have a few of them as urban EDCs. I like the choice they offer on their scales : metal, wood, horn, pearl... Name it and you can find a knife to match your shirt, your style.

    I watched a documentary about the manufacturing of Swiss Army knife's a few years back,mainly looking at one of those multi knives with 70 odd attachments and how they make all the components. Someone sent them a knife that had belonged to his great grandfather,a model from about 1908 that was very well used. Apparently when they say a lifetime guarantee they mean it. They refurbished the knife free of charge and sent it back.

    • @RiderOftheNorth1968
      @RiderOftheNorth1968 Год назад

      That is only if the knife size in question is still in production so they have spare parts for in. Usually they just send you a new one if they have it because that is much cheaper for them.

    • @vzaliva
      @vzaliva Год назад

      I thought "lifetime" would mean the life time of the original owner. So 1908 knife might not be under warranty anymore.

    • @MankindFails
      @MankindFails Год назад

      @@vzaliva Its about the product not the person.

    • @MankindFails
      @MankindFails Год назад

      @@RiderOftheNorth1968 You can ask them not to. I've sent a few knives in Canada and I said one was from my father. They repaired it and sent me the old parts. I also sent them two knives with an unaligned corkscrew and they changed it on the rare knife and gave me a new one for the ordinary knife. That said I asked them for spare part for the Sportratchet and they said they couldn't since it is not in production anymore.
