I am from India We are also facing the worst situation... To express our right to speech...
😂India we have a problem, like Osho said "Democracy is by the people, of the people and for the people, but the people are retarded". So, we have riot like situation over tweets, so the government restricts those speeches. Until we can mature as a people our democracy will always have restricted speech.
Hate speech ≠ offensive speech. Anyway, as the MAGA folks would say if you don't like the country and the culture/laws that go with it...leave. Apparently Russia is an amazing place with a stupendous leader now... immigrate there.
So if you don't like the laws of free speech go to Russia where it's censored and stop taking our basic constitutional rights. This particular bill in Ireland was already blocked by the courts as unconstitutional. The government has since weaponised the terrible actions of rioters in Dublin to push through this bill which was already deemed unconstitutional and is opposed by a majority of the population, hence why they won't use a constitutional referendum since all polling shows it would fail. If you don't like our laws then go to Russia or China, don't limit our basic rights.
