I love the luxury stuff! If I'm ever going to make things it will be for gifts and I'll spend more. HOWEVER my passion will be for how to make things that have the bougie feel without the price tag. I think broke people should have extremely nice things. Your channel is so helpful. I don't think I'll do the same projects you do but you still inspire me so much. I'm your mom's age, lol.

Yes to more content trying luxury kits and anything else in that category! It's interesting to see what is out there for that price point. I like learning more as to what makes it cost more vs artisan kits and other handmade goods.
I always love you videos, but these testing various kits videos have a special place in my heart. I've always been the weirdo that would buy random kits, not because I planned on doing anything special, just because I felt like trying something new, for fun, so these videos make me nostalgic somehow lol

Cause they’re cute 😂 she didn’t know how to feel about it at first because now the wood has wax on it and you won’t be able to use it on another product, she probably felt like it wasn’t very sustainable to begin with. They are really cool but you have to consider how much waist a product is going to have

I loved this, I agree. I mostly buy artisan soaps, but on a budget. But just like you mentioned we all need a specific gift/party etc need and this one was amazing!

I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a hundred times: I do not get the appeal of an ”easy” craft kit. You put something pre-packaged in a microwave, mix it, pour it, aaaaaaaand that’s it? What is the point?! You don’t design, create or invent anything, you don’t learn any new skills, and the process is so easy you can barely even say you made it yourself! When the ”creative” process is on par with putting groceries in a bag, I lose all interest.
The only appeal I see to something like the candle kit, is a good way to open the door to crafting to a beginner. It isn't nearly as intimidating if you get a kit that has everything you need, that has been tested and is quality to give you a result that is foolproof (or almost foolproof)
Like soap making, candle making requires quite a few special tools or pieces of equipment, and a person might not necessarily want to invest in that. This seems like a nice way to dip my toe in without having to buy specialized containers, thermometers, and extra supplies that don’t come in a kit (like wick stickers or holders). Some people don’t mind a high barrier of entry, and that’s okay, but it’s also nice to have some lower-barrier options as well. 😊
This was so fun to watch!!!! It's nice to get to see a variety in kits!!! Probably going to be some lip balm content in the future because that is so much material omggggg.
I work at a fancy make your own candle studio and we use Makesy for some of the vessels and fragrances and oh boy, all of their fragrances are soooooo nice. They have one that is smoked cedarwood and leather and it is so tasty, so is the cloudberry and balsam!!! We're always excited when we make candles for a certain business because they have that as one of the scents in their candles and i love it.

I love your craft kit videos, you take the time to break down the various pros and cons and look at them from various desires of potential consumers .
Just as a PSA - we know our luxury product is expensive. You do not need to tell us. Hearing customers complaining about how expensive something is and then trying to barter us down is absolutely gut-wrenching. I worked my butt off with expensive materials to make this, and it is worth a lot more. Please stop telling me you can get it at Target, I'm not stopping you.

I am sorry, but Jo Malones soap may look luxury, but it's just palmoil and a bit of sheabutter. My regular soaps are far more luxurious than that, and so are yours.

@Diane-dj5kp Wool felt is made by stabbing a clump of wool over and over to make a fabric. Kind of a sped up process that makes those fuzzy "pills" on your sweater.

The luxury candle cut is giving me serious throw backs to the woodwick kit. Even the stirring stick is the same (a honey dipper), the wax comes in the melting container, no measuring and there ends up being too much wax for the vessel.
I just got their non lye soap kit. Can't wait to make it.

I have a question as a newbie soaper. My son and grandson have psoriasis. I am going to make a pine tar soap for them. My question is this: Can I do half pine tar and half a soap that is a milky bar? Will they set up or not due to viscosity or whatever?
A two tone bar is what I’m aiming for. Not mixed or swirled, just half and half.
I wanna see her do some Diamond Paintings. Depending on where she gets them [say Diamond Art Club or Diamond Dotz], they can be VERY pricey.
I love doing them and they're also time consuming while being "luxurious."
Hi Katie! Love when you do these projects. Must say though, 5ml is only 0.17oz, not 2 oz. Almost 60ml is 2 oz.
I love all of your craft kit videos!!!! Also, I'm surprised you didn't mention why the wooden wick wasn't at least a LITTLE bit taller? To me, you definitely can't fill it up and of course you had leftover wax that you had to pour elsewhere. A simple fix if they just made it taller!

I just found Makesy scents about a week ago and made some candles and wax melts with the Warm Brownies and Mulled Spices scents. I wasn't sure about them in the bottle, but they end up smelling amazing in the candle/wax melts! I'll definitely be buying fragrance oils from them again!

Would you by any chance have recommendations for soap/candle/craft kits that have light natural scents? I love lightly scented items, but so so so many kits are just "HELLO I AM SCENTED!!!" or the scents are highly chemically. Nothing against either of those, but they kick up my migraines something awful. I'd /love/ to see a kit featured that has a really light delicate scent that doesn't persay have scent through an entire downstairs, but can lightly scent say a room?
I bet you could get the ingredients for a low scent candle at several places. I was looking at Bramble Berry recently, and noticed several kits, and they also have all the ingredients to cobble together your own style of thing!
