- My Laundry Room Makeover: Using Vintage Art To Achieve A Unique Look! The laundry room was a complete disaster. I had every intention of A laundry room makeover months ago. But, never got around to it. I spend a lot of time in the laundry room. A makeover in your home can make such a difference. Even the smallest changes. I used as much of what i had and thrifted some. I want to encourage you to makeover a space in your home that you aren't exactly happy with! Have fun with it. And, challenge yourself to use as much as you can that you already own. Don't forget to thrift for wall decor!

This is probably my favorite video of yours. Because it showed us your indecisiveness instead of just placing things and they look good the first time. Most of us go through this when decorating so it's so relatable. Your emojis through out were so funny and fun. I like the wicker baskets much better, they brought it altogether. Looks great.

Oh I love this video. My daughter just repainted her room from when it was her nursery. (she is now 20) I told her now is the time to get rid of all those things she has been collection over the years that have just accumulated. She was and still is so indecisive on what to keep, what to get rid of, and where to put things. I am going to show her this video and say it is always a work in progress. Keep up the good work Anna. Hi Anna. I really enjoyed this video, not only relating to the final outcome but also your honesty in showing the struggles you went through before you reached your goal. I agree that there is no reason why all areas of your home cannot be pretty; a lot of time is spent in them for different reasons and they should be a joy to be in even if the tasks are not as fulfilling. I wish that I had a laundry room, but such areas are not common in older properties here.

Hi Anna, I love vintage things too. Your picture selection was awesome!!! I love everything you did. Only one suggestion. If you move the wire shelf down to the same level as your two gorgeous picture it would make for a symmetrical look. And you would be able to reach the basket and detergent easier.

Hi Anna. I was doing my work out right in front of my big TV watching you decorate your laundry room . I felt like I was right there with you. :-) When you hung something up and weren’t sure I would talk to you and say no I don’t think that looks right or oh yeah, that does it. I cannot for the life of me hang two pictures that go side-by-side evenly without making tons of holes in the wall, even with measuring!! Thank God for spackle compound. I love the color of that paint by the way. Good job Anna!! great.

Anna, my thoughts… as I was lol brain storming, with you… was how your laundry room is part of your living space. Once you figured out, that was the issue, I knew you were going nail it! Love how things turned out. I was on the fence with Ernie, until you switched out the baskets! Such a great idea putting the bags in the basket, really ties in with the storage 🧺🧺 the shirt hooks are amazing as well. 👍🏻

I’ve seen videos of people making a wood shelf that sits on top of the wire shelve and it even has a front to it.
I'd prefer solid wood. I've seen those too. But I'm always looking at resale value.🧡

Everything looks so beautiful, and you're so right about the white baskets they needed to come out. I do the same thing when I am decorating. It takes me a long time because I want everything to be just perfect. And you know when you're done with the project when you can say I love it.

I love the way everything came out. I usually stagger my pictures on one wall, but that came out great❤ I think I would not put a wooden shelf in place of the white one. I agree with you, but Ernie could build a small one right underneath it.. my laundry room is in the basement off of the family room but it’s decorated vintage like the rest of my house when I’m redecorating all I think of is the rest of my home. What makes me comfortable in my home is a vintage mix with a little bit of modern❤ have a blessed day❤

LOL, this is the funniest video! Each time you put a item on the wall I was saying "I like it" but I have to say those botanical prints so cheap and amazing and they are so beautiful, I love that matting on the vintage prints as well, so unique! Great choice on the wood tone baskets! I have to pick up those drying hangers on the wall! Nice touch! Still laughing!!!!

My husband hung a shower curtain rod above my washer and dryer close to the ceiling. I hang my clothing that can’t be dried and it has been a life saver. ❤️

I love it! Makes doing laundry more enjoyable. I was getting a laugh at you redoing the pictures, just like me. All those holes to repatch. My husband sometimes travels out of town and thats when I also get busy tackling those projects.

Looks good but there’s a hack on you tube to cover up the wire shelf with a wooden shelf piece and a piece of trim on the front for minimal cost I think that’ll be useful and pretty.
I'd prefer a real hardwood shelf. I'm always thinking resale value. 🧡

@athomewithanna. no, the area is open. The freezer is next to the washer and the car is parked right there. Sometimes I think about cleaning really well around the area. I bet I could dress it up some more. I'll work on an idea. Thanks for your interest. 😀

I was screaming to the tv “put that there, no there, yeah right there” 😂 I like the finished look, it all came together very nicely. Some of those prints looks like Home Interiors from the 80’s and 90’s, my grandmother had very very similar prints. I was thinking a seasonal wreath on the piece above the W/D🤔 Absolutely love it ❤

I think he's settled on a wood shelf and lowering it. He's also going to be building out my cleaning closet with shelves so I can eventually remove e those baskets.☺️

I like my laundry room to look nice too as we pass through it from the garage into the house/kitchen. I have a very large sunflower watercolor that my favorite aunt’s friend painted. I love having personal art in every room.

Anna I can SO relate to this! I struggled to use items from our old house in our new build. It just didn’t work as my style has totally changed. Your laundry room looks great, like an extension of your main living areas. And that basket idea with the garbage bags is brilliant!
