The part at 9:35 is ever so important. After trying to trade for 2 years and not succeeding, this was definitely one of the things that hindered me from achieving being a full time trader. You can put in all the screen time in the world, but unless you are using that data you collect and turn it into something meaningful to yourself, its all wasted time really. This truly is one of the hardest games in the world, good luck to all those still in it.

I work on trading when I sleeping, or going to sleep, especially envisioning my goals. But after the day is over, 4:00-4:30, I definitely detach. We have to break from the monotony. Good luck on your journey.

I'm almost 60 years old and the older I get the more I realize that, the journey, the memories, the bonding with family and friends are the true wealth of our lives. Money is just a medium of exchange. No one has ever layed on their death bed and wished they had more money. But many have wished they'd spent more time building relationships and memories. And the earlier in life that you learn, failure is a positive thing, the better your life will be. -John
True words for sure John! Some of us go after the money early to eliminate life long monetary stress and create the time for all the other more important things in life.
I personally will "retire" 20+ years before my dad did, but it cost thousands of hours of screen time to do it. Always a balance/ trade off. - Dan
@@ChartGuys Being happy requires financial security for sure. I have friends that have made millions in the business world but in the end they regret not having had a better balance. Like you said that balance can be tricky.

Since it's tax weekend, I'm curious to ask if ChartGuys have a recommendation for a tax software that jives well with options trading? I'm not a daytrader, more of a swing trader and mostly trade options. I just use Fidelity and TurboTax now. It works, but sometimes one of them (not sure which) seem to conveniently forget the cost basis of several hundred transactions making me have to fill them in.
I personally had a lot of time and stress saved by just trusting it with a professional. Extra cost but it was worth it for me.

The failure of SVB and everything happening has left the markets in shreds. I'm at a crossroads right now, deciding if to liquidate 200k portfolio down by 10%, and it's uneasy for me to not panic after my recent awful divorce. I just need investing ideas to afford my bills

there are actually ideas that could be put in place for solid gains during a crash, but such strategies are carried out by distinguished advisors
