I know it sounds strange, but I miss magmaragerino kripperino. I haven't seen him in weeks in Kripp's comment section. Now I don't have anyone to blame for my budget quest druid deck sucking ass.

Well to be fair, even an optimized Quest Druid with every card in the game available will still suck ass. So no need to feel bad about it.

Hey Blizzard, let's make this card happen:
Conservation, 0 mana, spend all of your mana, add that many coins into your hand, you know, just more op stuff.
It's actually a really cool idea to be able to save mana for a later turn this way
This card seems broken to me. I can understand there being a cost reduction, but it should only have been 1, not 2. This makes Portal look balanced by comparison, and that spell was universally regarded as broken.
Mathmachine At least unstable was completely random.If it was a discover and discounted for 2 or 1 it would be in every deck too.
Mathmachine portal was only good because of flamewaker and he is out now. this card is really good but control mage decks would be dead without it

Yeah, it is a little silly. Like I can almost understand the reasoning since hypothetically you can get something like "freezing potion, arcane explosion, flame geyser" and then the card is suddenly kinda terrible but I've been playing it a lot recently and it almost always seems to have at least one or two awesome options.
Then you have to factor in that Sorcerer's Apprentice still exists, something that they apparently keep forgetting. You actually "gain" mana in that case since the discount hits both cards, something like flamestrike ends up costing 5 mana in total (as in, including the glyph). With two apprentices you can cast anything up to 4 mana for free, which as one can imagine leads to some really degenerate turns.
I personally think the cost reduction wasnt necessary. Just look at priest for example with mindvision. You get a totally random card from the enemy hand (no discover, where you could choose the best out of 3) AND it costs the full price. Glyph takes a shit over cards like that.
One of my irl friends asked me what I do when I'm at home alone, I had to explain to him how me and other people all sit and refresh a youtuber's video page for a while and all post generic garbage for likes.
I am also terrifying. Mostly when I give only the best legendaries.

It's basically unstable portal, but for spells, and you get to discover it instead of it being completely random.
My 3rd loss 2 days ago was to a mage that got only fireballs from glyph and killed me in one turn from hand.

Kripp plays glyph and gets the 1 spell he needs to win the game: "Easy!"
Opponent gets the 1 spell they need to win the game: 'Are you kidding me?! Topdeck ____!!?"
You still spend the 2 mana discounted for the spell, its just in an earlier turn, wich means you can bank 1 extra fireball for example, in addition to your 4 mana one, and maybe a 4 mana minion. Its like you use mana from your (next) turn.
This has nothing to do with Primordial Glyph but I just lost an arena game to:
Turn 9: Ice block -> Fireball -> Frostbolt
Turn 10: Fireball -> Fireball -> Ping
NONE of which were discovered.

It's my top 5 for strongest Mage cards. It allows access to possibly the strongest spells two turns earlier. I've only had it miss once and even then it stalled enemy attack by grabbing a Frozen Nova
Part of the strength comes from the fact that it can discover itself, so you are looking at a pool of 5 cards instead of 3 to find an answer - they should change this
Well, you can play around a 1 mana volcanic potion because the primordial gylph is no normally casted after turn 2, just like a volcanic potion.
Flip into board clear is a nine cost two card combo though; Crazed then flame strike.

I like how kripp actually makes the point of the discount being part of what makes the card powerfull, but in none of the clips the reduced cost actually matters - the only one would've been the swap into flamesrtike, but that would also just have worked with crazed alchemist without the discount
nitramreniar Yea its mostly the discovery. Many mage cards are so powerful that they can single handedly tilt a game in your favor, so being givin the ability to generate a spell of your choice, especially for free, just screams broken. He did put to much emphasis on the discount tho, all that is is icing on the omega value cake

HS games all play out the same way: One player feels great, while the other one feels like they got fucked.
We play the game hoping this time we'll be the one that feels great.
But we usually end up the one who feels fucked. Fuck this game we're done.

Playing an attrition warlock deck in arena, I had a mage down to no cards, while I had six in hand. The board was empty except for a sorcerer apprentice, my lifepool was 16 and the mages was 30. It was time for the game to turn. Next turn he topdecked Primordial Glyph into Cabalist Tome, into Tome and next turn into Tome again. One card became 7 in one turn, then 10 the next turn. Yeah. It fucking is tilting and terrifying.
"A sliver behind meteor"...what the fuck are you on, in arena this spell should be called - Meteor shower: add a meteor to your hand and reduce its mana cost, has a chance to fail but you receive another Meteor shower free of cost with a zero mana cost.
Cause thats what it feels like 90% of the time.

No one thought of playing primordial glyph with sorceress apprentice? It pretty much doubles the value of sorceress apprentice if you cast the spell while she is alive.
Primordial glyph with flamewaker and/or sorcerers apprentice is just stupid.
And the possibilty to choose primordial glyph with primordial glyph is also insane as the time getting it increases the discoveryinglynishness.
It's essentially 2 mana refund 2 mana and draw any card you want.
It's just a tad...sorta crazy.
I don't think it's broken, but like seriously, this card is pretty nuts.
It would be balanced if it only discounted by 1. People would still put it in nearly every Mage deck.

I think that it should only discount the card by 2 (or 1, I am not the master of balance or anything) for the same turn Primordial Glyph was used.
So you would pay 2 mana and you would be incentified to pick a spell you'll use on that same turn or choose to neglect the discount in favour of a spell you think you'll need later on, instead of making the 2 mana cost an investment for the future that will enable you to, for example, cast 3 fireballs from your hand on the same turn at some point in time.

I dont know how many times i've had a full board that only flamestrike will deal with, then watch a mage go babbling book, into primordial glyph, into a 5 mana flamestrike -_-

Say that when your opponent discovers a fireball and a pyroblast and you have to play around 16 damage in a turn.

That's like saying you should play around a OTK deck.
Agati You can't really play around OTK decks, which is the point. Mage can become OTK using this card. The chances of that happening are not that good, however, so thats not the source of my salt over this card. The real problem with the card is that it generates so much value for mages by allowing them a free spell, practically of their choice, whenever they want. Considering how good mage spella are, that is sort of problematic. Also, the discount does matter, because it makes the card (almost) free. It only costs you mana of you don't play the spell you discover the turn you discover it, because it costs you 2 manas worth of potential plays that turn. If you are 2 mana, use glyph, and discover a fireball, that gives you an advantage because you now have a discounted fireball the enemy can rarely see coming, as well as tempo on a later turn, at the expense of less this turn. But if you are 10 mana, discover a pyro, and then use that pyro, u have added extreme value to your deck by adding in a pyro u didnt have before for free, all while maintaining pressure. This is especially problematic when you can generate extra ice blocks and the enemy doesnt run secret removal. Srry for the tldr

you say discount, however its really not. The discounted mana comes from the 2 cost of primordial Glyph, So really, its more like Primordial Glyph is a 0 - Cost Discover a spell

I hate Primordial Glyph. Whenever I have it I get shit. Whenever my opponent gets it, it wins the game.
I really hate mage right now. In both Arena and Constructed. It's just random-spell spam. It's not consistently good, but it has the potential to be crazy game swinging. You cannot play around it. At all. You just have to assume mage has EVERY SPELL in the class at any time.
