It chugs, my friend, in a way that only "brighter" sounding pickups can. More upper midrange complexity tends to put more "snarl" in the Timbre, IMHO. Cheers, good to hear some snarl! ;)

Yeah! Snarl is the word! There’s a bite to driving single coils hard that is vastly underrated IMHO
