I did this experience 8 years ago while our Carnival ship docked in port. I agree it was weird being suggested to wear water shoes when there was so much walking involved. I also agree with you, the tender port thing is a real nuisance. The ship ended up leaving a few people behind at this port that ventured out to Caye Caulker on their own because they forgot they had to take a boat out to the ship. It sucked. I have also been to Belize on another occasion and visited the jungle area toward San Ignacio and did guided hikes to see things like Pottery caves, kayak adventures, Howler monkeys. I did not do any snorkelling or scuba diving in Belize but I heard it's amazing.
@@EscapingtheEmptyNest apparently SOME busses stop. NOT ALL! 😁 One guy on our bus was urgent. They stopped, still on the outskirts of town. There was a phone pole there. The guy asked, "where?" (meaning, "Which store has a restroom?" The guide was like... "uhm... there's a POLE, RIGHT THERE...!" The guy got back on! Others were also somewhat in distress (women)... so... based on my experience, I insist; Pee, before you board the bus.
Thanks for sharing always looking for different excursions
so do we. Thanks for watching.
Re-watching another one of my favorites.
thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for sharing, good info.
You're welcome. Thank you for watching!
I never get tired of seeing all of the spectacular scenery on your trips. I loved floating down the river on this one!
Thanks for being there!
This looked like a fun activity, especially the floating down the river part! A great price as lunch was included too.
Booking non carnival excursions can save some serious money
We loved the cave tubing in Belize
the tubing part was fun! Thanks for watching!
As always, you provided incredibly valuable and pertinent information for folks planning these excursions!!! Great job, friends!
We always try to give people information they can use to make better choices!
Would love to go to Belize someday. I will get off the boat!
great! Find a good tour, I wouldn't walk far from the port on your own
$50pp is probably among the most affordable tour options out there! 👍
A whole lot cheaper than buying an excursion from carnival!
I may have missed it but who did you use, cause I am looking at one through carnival and it is $259 for my husband and I only.
Yikes! I think I'd go for a food tour instead!
The food at the end was really good. Thanks for watching!
So, how sore were your legs after that 2 mile "quarter mile" hike? 😮💨😵💫😩😰
The pain in the bottom of my feet was the main concern. Never walk on rocks with water shoes!
Oi Vey !!!
thanks for watching!
Don't drink the water.
Unless it's bottled. 😉
@@EscapingtheEmptyNest the caves were WELL WORTH the effort and expense!!!
definitely not for me
Yeah, it's not for everyone. If there is a way to get you to the cave without walking 2 miles, you might enjoy it. Thanks for watching!
@@EscapingtheEmptyNest Yes an off road vehicle or atv will do, but w a walker or brace l wont do it, Thanks !!!
Pee, before you board the bus
They actually make a stop on the way!
