      He said when Ronnie left he wasn't having fun anymore and that's why later he retired. Nothing against the newer bodybuilders but they just don't train like the older bodybuilders do.
      They don't have that ripped as fuck jacked look the Godly level muscle and stronger not just muscular but fucking strong.

      Respect to Jay but there wouldn't be a Jay without Coleman. Ronnie was placing low even when he didn't deserve to and never gave up. He could have, it wouldn't been normal having a career and family. Jays Idol is Ronnie. He prob learnt not to give up from him.

    Here's a thought, Ron Coleman did his best because he knew Jay was right there chasing him down. In effect, his reign at the top was largely due to the fact that Jay was there competing against him. If Jay wasn't there, would Ron have done as good with a lesser competitor beside him?

    Ron is great no doubt. But he took to the extreme and paying the price now. His retirement is full of surgeries and hospital time and rehabs. While J is still big trains hard and does not need surgeries. On stage its Ron. In life its J.

      But to gain something, you have to sacrifice something else. Ron offered his life for bodybuilding. Jay didn’t. He might be healthy now and Ron is looking pretty terrible, but he never beat him. He wasn’t willing to sacrifice what ron did.

      I suppose you think Arnold's the greatest ever? I'm sorry but Ronnie is second to none, Dorian, Lee, Phil they are some of the greatest but they just don't top that sheer mass and freakiness. So much muscle on Ronnie's frame, it hadn't been done before and it won't be done again, not for a very long time.

    As everyone here is already saying, Jay didn't dethrone Ronnie, Ronnie short-circuited his body and couldn't re-gain the ultra physique again, and Jay took advantage. Although, I would say that in the 2001 Olympia, Jay did clearly beat Ronnie no matter what the judges scored. Bodybuilding is the most political sport there is. Ever since Dorian Yates won with a CLEARLY TORN BICEP in 1996 or whatever year that was, I've come to the understanding that they pick whoever they want to be Mr. Olympia, in spite of who is the better looking. (Especially that crack-smoking ifbb judge Steve Weinberger!)
