If you are working with an attorney, then s/he should be able to assist with referring you to a physician or nonprofit org that can provide an examination and report. We prefer to work with non-profits or clinics who have specifically trained to work with asylum seekers and provide reports documenting the past harm. Some people find private doctors, but organizations like Physicians for Human Rights, and local clinics are usually better prepared and more reliable.

Would a five year old boy who'd climbed on to a roof to avoid being cut have been granted asylum if he'd somehow managed to get help to escape abroad?
