- This is every windward plains battle related theme you can come across in the Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Test, including the chase and mount themes, and all combined into one sick medley

Medium, large and pack monsters use the same chase theme. Apexes / Rey Dau has a unique one. (It is unclear if Rey Dau's theme is unique to him or is the general apex theme, I personally think its the apex because electric monster themes usually have the good ol electric guitar in them, and Rey Dau is missing that)
Really not sure why there are two versions of the small monster themes but hey the more the merrier!
So far chatacabra and quematrice are the only medium monsters and the doshagumas are the only pack monster. Balahara, solo doshaguma share the normal large monster theme
I'm not sure if there are reverse chase themes
a few credit goes to @Shincry who provided some of these original soundtracks in his yt, saving lots of hassle for me heheheha

These themes are so good that they sound like the colors of the monsters
Like, the Large Monster theme sounds orange, Rey Dau's theme sounds blue, etc
I LOVE that the Apex theme blares in like a big warning horn! It hits you out of the blue when you're used to the heroic sound of the Large Monster theme.
Nice to hear the regular chase theme here. I’ve been searching for it.
very fun fact: no one so far has uploaded any wilds chase themes in yt because I assume it is really hard to record the chase theme for that long until it can loop around, and i WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree, it is really difficult to get the monster to stay in place as they're running, especially Rey Dau considering he flies and is immune to shock traps
@@zomkersYeah Rey Dau’s theme is super hard to get, even on the fastest Seikret travel speed you only get like 5-10 seconds of it until he flies out of range
Will be way easier once we get access to the in-game audio files for the full release

Awesome medley ! At the risk of sounding like a broken record since I've commented this on other videos. They've added unique non-quest victory fanfares, so if you slay a Medium sized monster like Chatacabra that isn't a quest target, you'll hear a victory fanfare. Same thing applies to large monsters like Doshaguma, slay it as it's not a quest target & you'll hear another victory fanfare.
I fully expect Rey Dau to have one but I wasn't able to test it.

I wonder if map intro themes are still around. Always love those 30-sec motifs when you first drop into the area
It'd be a shame if they were completely dropped; nothing beats entering places like the Rotten Vale or Ancestral Steppe for the first time and hearing the great music set the mood
I think they are? There are some shots in previews/trailers etc etc that look similar to how they did it in World
Not sure though, we have less than a month to go until it’s out
I love the cohesiveness of this whole medley. These themes don't belong do Chatacabra, Doshaguma, Rey Dau... Rather, they represent the many different facets of the Windward Plains itself.

I mean, I think Rey dau’s music is his own. Unless there’s another apex in the plains they haven’t announced yet

also its just the fact that the apexes in world (e.g legiana and odogaron) use the locale themes
idk. might be his own theme, migjt not, but i could honestly care less if it is or isnt because musics a banger anyways

Oh and Rey Dau has in fact some electric sounds in his theme. For Bulaqchis, maybe it's cause there's a big one ??? Maybe they are special, or maybe not

Great mix! Chase themes are so back dude. They were mostly pretty lackluster in Rise and slightly better in Sunbreak but these ones are a real return to form (I say this as a lover and diehard defender of Risebreak, the chase themes in the base game left a lot to be desired outside a few)

I think Ray Dau's theme defo belongs to him and isnt an generic theme for Apex Predators. The crashing percussion sounding like lightning strikes sounds too fitting to be for anyone else.

I can hear the mount theme's percussion in the back of the normal themes. I wonder if that'll still be there in the official OST, or just in the files and gameplay?

This might be a controversial opinion. But the mount themes should be changed to be played when a monster is enraged instead. The "lightning striking" in rey dau's mount theme really drives home the idea of it being pissed off/desperate.
I hear you but one could argue that Rey Dau IS pissed off/desperate to get The Hunter off of itself.
But yeah, an 'enraged' track would be nice to hear when The Hunter has ticked it off enough

There was a mechanic in MHW for this, reverse chase themes. If the monster was enraged and you began to sprint away from it, the music would change to a more intense, frightful version of itself. It's really cool and I hope wilds has that.
I just don't like how the main melody of the themes gets muffled during the mount theme. Makes sense for mounting because you are focusing on not getting thrown off, but if it was for the entire time a monster was enraged it would be grating.
Man do i really want a mod that just changes the mount themes to be the main theme (though the pack theme is so good)

In world, when a monster is enraged and you try to run from it to a different area, the music changes. there isnt a single name for these, i've seen them called reverse chase and rage themes. Zinogre's reverse chase theme is a good example for how the music usually changes. @zomkers

@@zomkers I'm not sure myself as I didn't get much time to play. I do know there's that one slinger ability that makes the monster draw ire and chase you as you lead it into other areas for turf wars etc with the red line like safijiiva had. I'd guess that would be where it plays is there is any
