Marcellus, fully fledged and in-game?! That's awesome! It would seem that this game was built on top of the Oni 3 source code, or at the very least heavily referenced 3's code. I've found some residual map content from 3, Arc de Triomphe to be precise. ^-^
This is pretty sick. I was just talking with I am me about this lol. I was always under the impression that Capcom was planning on adding an optional fighting game mode into dawn of dreams but scrapped the idea and settled for a basic co op cheat.
These are my first comments, I wanted to say thank you so much, you have fulfilled my long-standing dream, as a child I always dreamed of playing for other characters and imagined how it would look), I am glad that someone supports this wonderful game, continue in the same spirit, you have great videos !
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoy my videos. I too wanted to always play as the other unplayable characters for a long time, but the very few obscure videos I found many years ago ended up either having the video deleted, or the whole channel scrubbed before I got to comment.
Oh hey it's you! I remember commenting on one your videos. Well I had an itch to replay this game and mess around with it in Cheat Engine. I went through pretty much every single value to find it all. Still searching for the address (if it even is one) to fix Ultimate Oni. If you need help just ask. gofile.io/d/uit2Uj
May be a longshot but are there mods that fix the ai of some enemies in general like the floating warlock and the boxer? The boxer always ends up constantly doing their dodge attack in the dark realm and it kind of kills the challenge a smidge.
Another fellow unplayable character modder! Nice to meet you man. You have a discord or something where we could talk? I would like to discuss stuff like this with you.
I don't have a discord. This was just something I did for fun since old videos of this game showed people playing as NPCs, but never showed how to do it or they've been long since deleted. I'm by no means an expert at modding games.
That red dress woman at the end is Okuni? Also, I would like to ask, do you know what is the address for Munenori to change to his Demon eye skin? And what about the address for Hideyoshi change into his power up mode, the one in which he glows with the power of light?
Munenori is 56. By Hideyoshi power up, you mean when he turns purple/pink? Not sure, but if you revisit Kyoto and spawn him and then fight him at the end of the stage, you can trigger the cutscene if you take off enough of his health. I'm not sure if his attacks are buffed after that though since I wasn't able to control him at all. But if you're just asking about the purple/pink effect, I think those don't work, connected to another address maybe.
@@Reds_ Yeah probably needs a second address to be used together along with the character modifier. There was a game that I needed two addresses to play an alternate form/skin of the same character.
Very neat stuff! I was playing around with it in PCSX2 and it seems the enemies are hard coded to only be able to hit the player characters. Though if you initally load in through the menu they will not have voices and are able to then hit enemies oddly enough. Even having one as an ally will make them attack enemies. Though loading into a new area will give them back their voices and then they are back to doing nothing. Was curious if there is any way to make them able to attack enemies?
I'm not sure how to keep them as an ally/able to attack enemies after an area load. I haven't played in months but I remember changing values in the Oni Arena and that'll allow you to hit a enemy with voices intact but it's a two player mode.
@@Reds_ I see, thanks for the reply. It was net anyways that you found the digits for the characters anyhow. It was fun experimenting in small zones with random npcs.
@@xyzdragoncannon123 You can change values before loading in-game in the Arena and it should work just fine. As for story mode, I don't know how. Also, sorry for the late reply.
Cheat Engine. I have a text file in the description of this video you can download with both the addresses and all the character values. You can also download a table I made for the game.

You mean the Onimusha Arena? All it needed was a few more characters since it was a small selection.
@@Reds_ I always forget about arena. But yeah it seems the framework is there for a majority of the enemies.
A really shitty co op mode as well.

The ranger looks like it's trying to talk with it's ghoul like mouth constantly moving. Very creepy. 00:10
Id love to do a full game run as a mob
I am intrigued.

That's an emulator issue. We'll have to wait for the pcsx2 team to fix that.
@@Reds_ Shame, but thanks for answering! I doubt they will but we’ll see

Is it possible to play story mode with any of them? incredible video!😮

Uh... the link that you gave us tells that the file does not exist
