The 5 daily prayers, including the ritual washing before it, take approx. 1 hour out of the 24.
Even that can be reduced. If one focuses just on farz, which is the only actual requirement for prayers, than it takes 20-25 minutes at most. And they also provide so many benefits for our body and mind as well. Truly, only Allah knows what's best for us.

@@demibasan1714 I guess praying only farz, keeping both vudus up for not need washing 5+ times and even do the prayers with short surah (or none, i guess it's makrooh) or maybe not saying rabbi ghifirli like hanafis, would minimise the duration time. but this is not what your goal should be! like you said not rushing and not minimising.

I still can't believe Han doesn't get it. He watches all of these videos and yet remains totally deluded in thinking that you just have to 'believe' and stuff like 'God is in me'. His wife is getting it though, but Han is skirting around the issue and not committing to the truth. Stop making up your 'own truth'. You're right about the connection to God. However the point he was making is about HOW you're connected to God. The Islamic rituals are consistent and diligent and can be done by every person. That's what makes it so special, it's accessible for both rich poor, abled and disabled, young, old. Everyone is able to be consistent and diligent and foster a relationship with God.
Because it's Gods guidance and he knows his creation best. He made it both simple with the most impact.

Concerning prayer in islam 5 prayers are obligatory but most of us pray the sunnah prays as well as the obligatory ones I've even spent nights in the mosque packed and brothers and sisters praying until sunrise.
