I kept watching because it kept getting better and better. Amazing work! I cant wait to start. Doing a mural for my friends festival. A bit nervous as its my first time.
Absolutely incredible artwork. Your talent is running deep in your veins. It amazes me what people can accomplish with a rattle can. I'm born and raised in Los Angeles and have no doubt seen my share of graffiti art and so much of it is real art. The choice of medium isn't always a choice. You work with and where you can. Whoever owns the home where you painted that mural is a very special person who understands art and recognizes your talent and wanted the world to see it also. New subscriber
Need to spray a coat of wax over the painting so that if anyone tries to ruin it you can spray off the painting without anything sticking to the original
Once he has painted the 'doodles' on the wall, he will take a picture of the wall and overlay his design over the picture of the doodles. He uses the different shapes as reference points of where to paint the outline of the portrait based on the overlay picture. It seems to be a common technic when doing big murals on walls instead of using a projector.
Very nice piece..just a strange/unconventional way of getting there. What's up with the random shapes first laid down? Is that some kid of "grid"? And if so, why no tjust make an actual grid?
My initial thoughts were that it could be to insure that the paint in all areas is heavy enough bcz if you just hv nothing under your art, it may feel like you've used enough paint but this could assure you that you've reached full coverage?! But that's not the case this is called a doodle grid. Its used to scale up your reference pic. Very effective. Look it up and you'll get the full explanation to how and why it works so well.
As a professional artist/muralist myself, I have to say, "No" to your point. There's no such thing a "heavy enough" in painting. and my point was why not use a traditional gird. I don't think you don't understand what that it.
The fact that this can be done with spray cans is unbelievable. Like no matter what he painted this with, it's breathtakingly good.
Nice one sir Billy! 💯👌🏻

Walls should be lining up for his fantastic work to be done on them.
Nice bro. Excellent detail. I'm just getting into myself after 40 years of illustration. It's going to be fun. 👍🏻

Wow. Ive been tagging for 25 years and holy shit your good my guy. 😮❤
May i ask why the pattern is dont on the wall? Its the second time i have seen someone do that.
Do you ever change tips or do you use the ones that come with the cans already?
Yes i change the cap depending on how large the space that i want to fill.
