larry is such a sad character because hes written extremely realistically he's the definition of the middle class rich people sit on their ass and dont have a care in the world the middle class constantly has to work and work to stay in a comfortable position, and if they dont they're homeless
So Larry is still middle class while working low income jobs ? That first clip is heartbreaking. On one hand, Larry's happy that gumball and Darwin remembered what he taught them, but you can see him slowly realize how sad his life is after they leave, the little that he's achieved in life finally clicks with him after the people he'd expect not to notice points it out (or maybe not I don't know the full context of the scene so just take this comment with a grain of salt lol)
I feel this is one of those characters we should really start paying attention to, cause you don't know if he could just all of a sudden have a mental breakdown. I'm really starting to get concerned about his mentality. Who agrees?
Crazy how Gumball and Darwin just destroyed his life, just for a trivial contest, that he was so lazy, he didn't even show up for. Reminds me of a Trudermark/MasterofZoroark YTP where he straight up shot himself over the phone when Gumball called him. If Gumball were any darker, I'd imagine that'd happen, and then the events of The Pizza would happen shortly after.
When you think about, everyone is a Larry in real life, no matter what they and the situation. They always have to put up with something in their life. Also, is it bad I loved Larry at 11:42? The goth one got me.
To be fair Larry doesn't have to LIVE with Richard, Gumball and Darwin, and the chaos they cause, he is just a frequent victim. Nicole has a rough single Job, and wrangling her family. She gets time to sleep but its still very hard, remember when she has a DBZ style fight with an old rival, she reveals that wrangling her family was more than equivalent to the years of training her rival did to prep for the fight. Larry still has it worse but it is a different sort of difficulty.
@@timothycarney9652 based off that, I really want to see a fight between Larry and Nicole. Obviously Nicole won, but I feel like her childhood being trained and pressured make any difficult moments in her life becomes a sort of training for her, sort of like grinding in game when simple task also gives you xp. Larry don't know how to turn his hardship into power, but if he did, it would certainly be interesting seeing these two gods fight.
He's in a pretty bad position. He has tons of jobs and the town relies on him but also kind of abuses him. This guy is going to waste his life if the town doesn't improve. (I never watched the show, so I don't know how it ends.)
There are some genuine moments where the people of Elmore do appreciate. Larry. So my favorite interactions are principal Brown at the haircut salon, And with Penny at the ice cream scavenger hunt.
I wanted to give this poor dude a hug when he quit working for Elmore since he wasn't being given any respect or sympathy when the Wattersons gave him the worst day in history.

You have my respect, I love you ❤️

the episode where they literally ruined larry's life just so they could beat their dad in a lazy off was painful tbh
Glad Gumball and Dawin got karma at the end.
it was so sad
As a kid I always felt bad for larry, but really taking a step back and really LOOKING at his character, yeah, he really is the saddest character that you could probably find in kids tv. All tv maybe. Its insane what he has to go through for the sake of the town, he also is a genius which sucks because it had to go to waste through lame jobs in all of the town.
Every show has at least one character you can root for.
I just wanna hug Larry. He is extremely overworked and probably really depressed because of Gumball and Darwin tormenting him.
This is the most memorable moment in The amazing world of Gumball is this: 16:37
Why you!!
Poe tah toes😔
Mr. Small turned British.
you would also be one of the saddest characters if you singlehandedly held up an entire towns economy
Tbh I feel bad for him sometimes and the fact that every time he trys to propose to his gf he gets stopped in every way
As kids, we laughed at Larry’s misfortune.
As adults, we cry and sympathize with Larry’s misfortune.
Nah as a kid I felt awful for him. They really did him dirty huh?
@@ToeGripper9988 as an like you WERE a kid and aren't anymore? Is gumball that old?
@@HollowKnightReference No, it's called being a teenager. Have you forgotten about us? Oh wow.
Yes that's true.

whole new meaning to "Livin' like Larry"
as the days goes by... I feel more and more like Larry
6:25 Larry talks like he went to a physics college... wait a sec... im taking physics course..
Why is he working at the job? So many, sad, terrible reasons…
I never thought a bunch of pieces of folded paper would make me kinda sad.
Wait, he's supposed to be paper? I always thought he was supposed to be a weirdly shaped box lol
See I always thought he was supposed to be a balled up piece of paper, but he's apparently a rock...
He's a rock, as weird as its sounds
In season one, he is a rock. In season 2 and onwards, he’s an origami rock.
@@mewdolfkittler5630 is it weird if he's the rock that holds everything down
larry is such a sad character because hes written extremely realistically
he's the definition of the middle class
rich people sit on their ass and dont have a care in the world
the middle class constantly has to work and work to stay in a comfortable position, and if they dont they're homeless
So Larry is still middle class while working low income jobs ? I just got out of a an English class with a teacher explaining to us that working class & middle class people were vastly different or at least consider so in the us : middle class people referring to a social group closer to the bourgeoisie, a category of people that lives comfortably.
You seem to be the middle class and lmafo, Larry is not middle class in anyway
@@PussNBootos i dont think you understand what the middle class is then lol
lower class is homeless people or people on the verge of being homeless, middle class people are every day people with average lives, and the upper class is nothing but rich guys who're usually ass holes
Larry isnt from the middle class lmao
ok but the rich people probably worked hard to get to where they are able to sit on their ass or were just smart about it

,,If you know all these stuff why are you a store clurk?"
...
That question hits way too close to home..
0:31 Larry actually had a good life in that episode until gumball and Darwin ruined it, but its also Larry's fault for not thinking twice.
Larry is basically a 20 year old depressed worker oh gets paid minimum wage and sorta just deals with lots of Karens everyday
Especially since his girlfriend is a Karen. Like, literally... that's her name.

Larry is my favorite character in all of The Amazing World of Gumball. He’s so under appreciated by the townspeople and he’s just so fun to watch
0:55 Knowing that larry works in more than 30 jobs (I don't remember exactly how many lol) that he has been fired from one seems more of a relief for him..

That's effectively what it is, and it's after an entire 5 minutes of Gumball and Darwin taking over for him.
I feel this is one of those characters we should really start paying attention to, cause you don't know if he could just all of a sudden have a mental breakdown. I'm really starting to get concerned about his mentality. Who agrees?

1:47 dude this guy lost his girlfriend, his car,and his job this dude needs a hug
For the 2nd time, i want to hug a man...
You don't have to know the first one.
I never knew he had 19 minutes in the show episodes all together 😃
this is just a compilation he has more screen time than this
He has at least 3x the screentime
these are just the parts of everyone treating Larry like garbage
Dw he has way more. He's probably in every episode.
When you think about, everyone is a Larry in real life, no matter what they and the situation. They always have to put up with something in their life. Also, is it bad I loved Larry at 11:42? The goth one got me.

All work and no play makes Larry a dull boy, all work and no play makes Larry a mere toy.
this comment shouldnt be as funny as it is
Larry is exactly what working in a convenient store actually feels like. I relate to the pain. XD
The only thing I can say with honestly that this minute I just found out his species is an origami rock.
Larry does seem like he has an education in like math or physics or something like that. I feel real bad for him.
You thought Nicole works hard by raising an entire family it’s simple for this man
Larry doesn't throw a tantrum on an episodic basis.
@@amirulamani1487 and he would probably snap from the stress of being mistreated all the time. we've seen him do it before.

@@ps4pro668 there will, actually. the creators confirmed there will be a new movie sometime this year
There are some genuine moments where the people of Elmore do appreciate. Larry.
So my favorite interactions are principal Brown at the haircut salon,
And with Penny at the ice cream scavenger hunt.
I feel like if someone made a compilation of all the times Larry was on screen, it’ll only be like 3 minutes longer than this one.
I wanted to give this poor dude a hug when he quit working for Elmore since he wasn't being given any respect or sympathy when the Wattersons gave him the worst day in history.

I thought this was gonna be video documentary about Larry but I just watched 15 minutes of a poor man being mentally assaulted by the wattersons
It needs no words…
The episode were Larry quit and the town fell apart instantly
The city always Goes to shit anyways. Not big surprise.
There are characters that go through a lot of trauma and probably more suffering than Larry in animation, but it's the fact that he is sad in the realest and most mundane way that makes him that much more relatable.
"If you know all this stuff, how come you're a store clerk?"
The intro was just Larry trying to teach a lesson but instead ended up roasting himself and his entire family tree.
14:58 I don’t know what fan fiction Larry was in, but I think he should be a character in a different show after experiencing the trauma of that scene so he can recover.

I’m happy to see someone finally covering this topic because I’m a real big gumball fan and this has been on my mind for years
squidward and larry are the most relatable characters ever without doubt.
You know what I just realized? The cop sounds just like Officer Wiggums from The Simpsons, if it's the same actor then that's a very cool coinsidence
I thought he sounded more like the Host from Worlds Wildest Police Videos.
Hes the main component of an employee. He works hard to pay off his expenses but never really gets anywhere. I remember that one episode were gumball did a quick rant before he left. He literally destroyed him in those few seconds. because its TRUE.

After watching this video. I understand how much Larry is really a sad character because of how much he has worked over so many jobs in Elmore. Larry quitting will make the whole town into apocalyptic chaos just like in "The Pizza," and he's the only guy keeping Elmore in peace. I love how talented he is in most of his jobs. He deserves better tbh
The fact Larry work almost every job
