This really scares me because I had terrible road rage today with my 5 yo in the car. I was on the freeway being almost sideswiped by a landscaping truck with a trailer. I ended up driving into emergency lane in order to not get hit with my kid in the car! I honked and saw them when they passed me and they were actually LAUGHING! I WAS SO MAD. be careful people there are serious lunatics on the road!

My advice to everybody out there is if somebody does something stupid out there while you're driving that affects you just let it go man because you just don't know what is going on in that person's mind or what they're capable of. It's just not worth honking your horn like you really want to because that might be all it takes to set them off.

It seems that drivers take offense at the slightest thing. I have been driving for 40 years and I have never gotten angry on the road. I would like to know kinds of things are causing people to engage in road rage or flipping the middle finger at a total stranger? Whatever is getting drivers angry could not be that serious.

I have resorted to the slow lane too, but find I still get a lot of grief directed at me because impatient drivers seem to want to run up to your tailgate, pass you really closely, and then cut you off, just to prove some kind of point. What is with all these drivers with big chips on their shoulders, lashing out at everyone else? It's so cowardly.
@@calimon00 I notice that as well on the 880 freeway in the morning. CHP needs to be out more in the morning. I have seen them zig zag between cars, almost causing an accident. The bad drivers always seem to have tinted windows in the front and derive and passenger area, which you can not see. This should be illegal.

I get my road rage from my father and I'm trying to get better. The key is to NOT TAKE THIS STUFF PERSONALLY! I'll bet virtually 100% of the time the other half is oblivious to you and is just doing their thing.
I have been driving for 40 years I still don't know what road rage is. I know what the definition is but what would another driver do that is so awful as to make you stick your middle finger at them and then get so angry? It all sounds a little petty to me. After all, no one is trying to get into an accident.

What kind of "mistakes" do drivers make? I have been driving for 40 years in Los Angeles and have yet found any instance when another driver would make me angry. Swallowing your road rage inside is totally worth it compare to the risk of facing a psychopath who will pull out a gun. For example (but there are so many), I tell my kids to look both ways and be cautious when (as pedestrians) they are crossing a cross-walk. Yes, they have the right of way, but they still need to be careful and vigilant for distracted drivers. I don’t want them being “dead-right”. If a driver hits them, he’s legally and morally at fault; in the wrong. But how does being “right”, help my kids if they get hurt or killed? It’s called advise to be precautious.

I do not understand what people don’t understand. A 6 year old boy died. Mom flipped off the other driver as she moved to the right lane the other car which whom had a male and female passenger drove right behind her and a shot was fired. They do not know if it was the male or female who fired the shot. Unfortunately, the shot hit the child. The boy started saying “mommy my tummy hurts” she pulls over and realizes her son is bleeding and the ambulance arrives. Regardless if she was at fault or not for flipping the other driver off it was not the same act of violence. The other driver was just a psycho. The uncles words do not make sense but it’s understandable because he’s in shock. They all are. But from what I understand, what he is trying to say by “they shot her in the back” is that the criminal had to do the act behind her back instead of confronting her face to face. This is not staged! I live a minute away from where all this happened. May this little Angel Rest In Peace ❤️

as someone who also lost a little brother, i feel for the sister and her family. it's a pain that never goes away; it lives with you for the rest of your life. the only thing that can describe the following grief journey is that is genuinely sucks.

When I was younger, I was an impatient driver who would yell at cars who cut me off all of the time. Shook my fist at them, flipped the bird, etc. Not proud of it. I had a temper when I was younger. Never had a gun in the car. Never got to a point of no return level. Never escalated. Go figure.

Front and rear dashcams have never been more important. Every car should have them. The suspect in this case would have been very quickly identified and caught with dashcam footage.
Hopefully there was a Tesla near by.
Will also keep many "innocent" drivers themselves in check. In road rage, often times it takes two to tango, as they say, which has proven to escalate matters to more severe situations. We still don't know that the victim's mother didn't participate in the "rage'. I'm not at all implying she deserved to lose her son though. That's completely on the shooter/driver, who now has no leg to stand on anymore. Just wish people could keep their ego trips off the road in the first place.

It's a terrible tragedy that occurred but if we just ignore the causes then it is all our fault. It made me very sad and very angry when I read about this. The Democrats are making this country more and more unsafe everyday.
Instead of focusing on the family's pain, which is self-evident in the video's title, the newscaster should have given more urgency to the request for dashcam footage and an appeal for any information that people may have. Repeat the time and approximate location of the shooting so that people have the time to process and remember where they were and if they would have any information that could help. I hope that they revisit this story with a focus on requesting information from the public.
Well you know the media they do not lose a beat when it comes to milking emotions. I really do hope justice comes to this family because this is just very messed up. No parent wants to see a small innocent little child get killed.

Folks, please be careful out there, and never never NEVER give a motorist the finger. This little boy's life was taken, obviously, by a real criminal, but the mother chose to stick her middle finger out the window and infuriate an animal out on the highway. Now she has to live with the fact that she helped escalate the situation rather than letting it go and it cost her young son his life. I'm not trying to "victim blame' here, but I have personally seen the road rage that happens when one of the drivers decides to take it to the next level, as if there was something to win by that. Never never never offer your middle finger to another driver. You have no idea what that might cause.

What can we do to help the family? Nothing can replace their innocent son but hopefully we can help easing things for them. I’ve been crying since I heard about this tragedy and I’d like the family to know we are with them and we won’t rest until that monster is arrested and brought to justice!!
