Palmer is brilliant, everyone knew his ceiling. I personally really rated his performances last season despite the critiscm he had.

As long as Cole Palmer is given consistent playing time, he will be able to give the club consistent performances. Now Cole Palmer is an indispensable part of Chelsea's core, and will surely help Chelsea to return to glory in the future.

When he was at City the fanbase was a little divided. Some people could see his quality and were really eager to see him getting more chances and really start to claim his place in the team once Mahrez left. He had been great so far in the early part of the season.
Others saw games where he struggled or didn't do much and kind of immediately decided he didn't have what it takes to play at a club at the current level City find themselves at and were bemoaning him a bit when he played. It's understandable as even though he was still young, he did have a poor year last year and when you have players like Foden and Lewis you have a high bar.

The potential with him is crazy. I feel like his shooting ability is there somewhere because I've seen his youth videos, he's got very very good long shots but he's seemingly forgotten how to bang em in from range.
He's excellent generally but if he wants to become world class he can add a bit more to his game, like maybe the Ziyech whipped cross to the far post

He’s been brilliant but we should also pump the brakes on the hype machine. He’s 21. He’s going to make a lot of mistakes and may go through stretches where he isn’t nearly as effective. That’s called maturing. If we stick with him and provide him the necessary support, in another year or two he could be incredible.

Very true. Fans tend to hype players too early and I've been guilty of that in the past as well, I must admit.

There is a story he wanted to bulk up and get strong when he was young. But his dad said not because he will loose his center of gravity balance and technical ability

He still holds on to the ball for too long, for me. If he can learn to pass it off quicker he would be great. Lucky for him he's good with his feet, not as good as Hazard, but just good enough to get himself out of trouble.

It's hard to stand out in a pep team until you're doing the system right. Palmer looked like he had promise but was too young to know when to be a cog in the machine and went to unleash. He likes to play inside and outside etc. Foden still isn't near his ceiling for the same reason.

He is a really good player, but always seemed a bit too precocious for a Pep player. He is the type that’s willing to do dribbles that embarrass defenders, which I think grates Pep. Pep wants a cog in his system, not an individual who’s trying cheeky nutmegs often. It’s stuff like that that can lose possession if unsuccessful, which is a Cardinal sin at City.

Palmer is a good player. Not Mahrez, but he will reach a good level. You just aren’t allowed to demand game time at City under Pep. Every player who has done so has left expeditiously.
