❤Lester and Jamie they're at Guardian lifestyle Guardian dog the white one that was at J&L it ran away and they haven't found it yet I feel so sorry for them😢😢
Balaclava=full face/head covering. Baklava=Greek pastry. I live in Ontario Canada and as soon as I hear the name Jolene Dolly Parton starts singing in my head, there's no way around it....lol.
I would watch Marlin Perkins' and Jaques Cousteau's TV shows every week when I was younger. I was such a fan ❤. Still have some books authored by Jaques Cousteau that belonged to my grandparents.
Here in Southern Illinois, we just went through an ice storm. We didn't have power for 2 days, we just got it back this morning. There are downed trees, still iced, everywhere. They fell all around my house and on my shed, but luckily not ON my house. My car is surrounded by branches and touching it, but they didn't go through my windshield, thank the Lord. It's supposed to be like 9 degrees tonight and 6 degrees tomorrow night. My job is closed until Thursday and my paycheck will suck but at least we had a small generator and a little heater and we didn't didn't freeze to death. So we are indeed grateful and thankful. ❤️
Some people in southern Illinois still don’t have power like equality Illinois El Dorado, Illinois. I’m sure you’ve heard of those places. They are still without power as we speak.
Love the balaclava discussion! Just call it a full head covering. I was born in Montana and lived there until 18 years old. Moved to Arizona years ago and now cannot bear the cold. It's supposed to be 35 degrees tomorrow morning and I'm dreading it. Jason you are so sweet and loving to Brooke. It makes me so happy to hear you say loving words to your beautiful wife. Wonderful live!🤗💕🤗
Not much gardening to do lately .So I have really been enjoying rewatching your older videos. So much fun to look back. You've acomplished so much. I do miss MaryCarl.
Beans and cornbread. And my daddy loved some cornbread and milk with his Pepper sprinkled in. Those were memories. We’re going to be having 🥶 weather. So y’all keep warm and safe. Love all your content 🐴🪿🐥🦆🫏🐖🐄🐂🐕🐐🐐🐈🐈⬛🦃🐓🦚🕊️🚜🛺
In my Mama's cast iron collection is a 16" skillet with a lid. She used this to fry chicken and make gravy with the drippings. I remember that she could lift the lid, but when it was time to scrape out the gravy, she always called Daddy to lift that heavy skillet. It sure fried some good chicken!
Well Thomas & Olivia, I learn something new every time I watch y’all! Tell MaryCarl she can name your grand baby girl Lulu! Stay warm and sending love from East Texas!
I just watched this today, it’s 44 degrees in Bradenton Florida. Most cauldrons today have flowers in them. They ARE still using cauldrons in certain locations in the South for traditional style cooking over fire. 😊 Mutual of Omaha is 62…..I’m 61……OMG. I just felt really old 🤦♀️🤣
I loved Wild Kingdom and bet I saw every episode. I was 5 when our whole family sat down to watch the first episode. I can still sing the original opening song. I also loved Walt Disney's specials. Shows way better back then.
Just want to say that I am soooo enjoying my Christmas coffee!! Next time I’ll have to order more than one because this one is not going to make it until next Christmas!! 😂
Enjoyed your live on a replay, chicken breast with mushroom soup in the crockpot and homemade mashed potatoes!! Comfort food in this cold weather!! Stay warm you and your babies!!
The high today in Milton Fl was 42. Wind chill 39. I don't like the cold at all. If it gets below 60 I am really cold. God bless y'all. Stay warm Brooke. 🙏❤🙏❤🙏❤🙏
It is 29° where I am in OK. Brrrr. I had ribs and brisket with cole slaw and Bar-b-que baked beans and bread. It came from a restaurant called Rib Crib. I was busy cleaning and suddenly I was so hungry, and I realized I hadn't eaten since breakfast, so I ordered out and had it delivered. A real treat!
My mom was singing To Sir with Love and my dad called her Lulu to my son, first grandchild age 1, and she has been Lulu instead of grandma from then on.
Usually in North Carolina when snow come from the South, that is when we get our biggest snow with large flakes. If it Winter I want at least one substantial snow to make some snow cream❄️❄️❄️☃️☃️☃️
Brooke, it is a balaclava (all short a sounds). They are really nice for your face when it is cold. I love listening to you guys talk. It's like sitting and talking with friends.
I had a nephew named Jesse. My husband had a dog named Jessica. We were not married yet. I yelled at the dog stop, drinking out of the toilet. My nephew yelled back I'm NOT!! .....LOL 😂
In Minnesota we have single digits with heavy wind. Not much snow here, thank goodness! I was trying to put air in my tires and was so cold I couldn’t do it and came home. The gas station said that the credit card thing wouldn’t work in the cold weather so had to go inside to get gas too.
I have Egyptian geese. I also have guinea fowl, regular geese and 16 peacocks it’s kind of a tossup who makes the worst noise but I love all the animals, so I enjoy hearing them. Actually, my geese were raised from little hatchlings and they’re fairy friendly they don’t bite or snap or chases but they do get upset when new people come up, they make a lot of racket.
I'm with you Brooke, if I lived up north, I'd rent me a one way U-Haul and would be moving to Florida. I've lived in Florida my entire life and have no desire to live in a state with snow. I'll take the Beaches ⛱️ and Palm Trees 🌴 here in Florida.
Thank you Brooke for the recommendation of Bonnie G's. I live just north of Slidell in Picayune MS. I go to Slidell all the time and will Definitely try out Bonnie G's😊
I live in Slidell and love Bonnie G’s. Great home cooked comfort food style. I love their smothered beef liver and I get the appetizer fried eggplant sticks. Have eaten many other things and never had anything I didn’t like. Highly recommend. ❤
Jason, my mother used to burn the stuff on the outside of her cast iron skillet s off. She put them in the fire when she had a trash/ limbs fire. When she seasoned the skillets with lard !
Thanks for letting me know that wrap on my kitchen cupboards is not good. Was going to do it. I have been in my house 24 yrs and do use my selfcleaning oven with no problem. I also have a Bird Avery with Finch in it no problem my birds are 7yrs.
Jason, it was on Public Television. He was the original. It was great hearing Mary Carl talking about the cast iron wall. When Mary Carl gets older or maybe when she has a child, she can name her Lulu. I had a wheaton scottish terrier. She would start barking at nothing and stop just as suddenly. I swear she could hear a flee fart.
Brooke I lived in Yellowknife NWT Canada for 3.5 years. When we moved there in December of 2013 we moved up during the coldest year in 60 years and got to experience -50°C. It was dark there from September to May from about 3 pm until 10 am. The dark was much worse than the cold. It is pronounced Bala clavah. Balaclava.
I know I was late for live, but you were killing me with balaclava 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 made my day. Love you guys so much ❤️. We could have used a balaclava in the national pack,New Zealand . It was snowing 🌨. It can be a summer thing here central north island.
The 1st winter we experienced after moving to Colorado we did not have a shovel. I tried digging out our car with the fireplace shovel. Broke it. We were stuck for 2 weeks. Moved back to St Petersburg FL shortly after

Such a gentleman you are Jason.

Glasgow, Scotland and same here, i think it’s global 🙃
You are such a wonderful couple. You're a great team. Helping each other to keep things running as smooth as possible on a farm.

Ba-la-klaa-vuh

There's also the Russian stringed instrument called
