Artist Maniam is celebrated for his paintings and illustrations. His famed artworks were featured in Kalki's Sivagamiyin Sabatham and Ponniyin Selvan serialised novel. While his artworks are instantly recognised among tamil art lovers, his illustrated life should be known to the current and the next generations across the world.
This video intends to share his life as narrated by his son Maniam Selven. In this video, Maniam's paintings and illustrations are shown through the developmental stages of his career starting from the 1940s to 1960s.
In his short meritorious life, his keen interests in Art Direction for movies was realised, when he worked as an Art Director in Tamil movie 'Partiban Kanavu', 1960.
