Don't blame you the show was so mesmeric. I still remember marching in it like it was yesterday. I seriously can't believe it even happened. Just got to wait and see what our Band Director pulls out for our next state year. Everyone has high expectations of this band now and I know my school can deliver. I'm sad since I won't get to march(graduating this year lol). Just remember the name and watch out for the next show from the Sharyland Band.
this program should have made finals that night. what a coincidence that the all the schools that made finals are all highly funded programs and i can honestly say that some of those performances were so out of tune, no lines. everyone was walking and not marching accordingly. this was the biggest snub of the night thanks to the judges
Sharyland placed 19th with 88 points while the last band to advance to state finals placed 12th with 58 points. That's a 30 point difference, I don't think it was about money...
Matt Rios Ur totally right the 12 place band isn’t even that funded and did pretty good as well. Yet I also agree that Sharyland should have made it to finals but not because they are funded more. (This coming from a fellow marcher 😉)
Kqloveshorses8032 but most of the bands who made it to state finals were well funded white bands. They competed in a US Bands of America competition in Austin, where they got second place in. It’s pretty strange that they beat a band in the US competition that made to finals in state
During the Area G finals I knew we stood no chance and I'm saying this as a band member who competed with with band.
When I saw this show back in Mercedes for area competition I was like damn I wish I could be like them
Their show is amazing
This show is so good!💕 Definitely my favorite of this year. (Sorry Cedar Park)
Suck we had to put this show to rest by the end of the season I truly loved marching this show

@@mattrios5809 texas UIL is all based on money; especially when its dealt under the table...

TOTALLY AGREE! My band placed 18th at state, even though when we went against highland park at area we were less than 1 point apart.
