I got quoted about 20K for a 15'x15' bedroom with 11 ft. high ceilings. They said it would be as soundproof as a recording studio. It seems kind of low to me. I was expecting much higher. They said this includes everything, including workers and materials.
@@soundproofyourstudio Thanks. The L and W are different, I just made up those numbers on the spot to get a rough idea of their prices. It's probably about 170 sq ft. I do have very high ceilings though, about 11 ft.
Be careful! They may not have a clue what they are doing. My parents did an extension 20 years ago and wanted sound isolated rooms for music lessons. The people said they could. All they did was install a sound treating Rockwool between the drywall partitions. That was it! It did zero. To this day, you can hear someone turning on a light switch in the next room that it will wake a sleeping person in the adjoining room. Some sound proofing. @@soundproofyourstudio

4:05 Noone in Australia would do roofing for 30USD/hr. In Australia it'd be closer to 60USD/hr.
Prices have gone up
This was exactly what I was looking for. Sometime in the future, I will might have a room soundproof so that some can live there in peaceful
Awesome!

First 15 x15 is going to be a bad room ratio. Try 15x some other number just not the same. I think 17-20k is reasonable.
