Great interview. I remember Corky from his days with the B+3 in Montreal. He played at a sock hop at my school in NDG. Had the wonderful opportunity to see him and Mountain play in Montreal many times - great memories!

I first heard mountain back in 70 ,I think and Mississippi Queen ! Man that cow bell really got my attention . The closest store to sell it was at the Kmart in Altoona, Pa. I had buddy that had a car, that night we drove about 25 miles ,and looked ,and they had 1 damn copy no shit. I bought it. And I was hooked, mountain was my favorite band , it made , the hair on the back of my neck stand up, every time ,I heard it. I bought , climbing as soon as I could find it .played the shit out of it . The record player I had was a POS , ate records ,I had to wait till I was the USMC, in Okinawa to get a real,
Top notch stereo , then after I bought another copy of "climbing" did I get to hear the whole sound, and jacked up with good head phones ,some good ti- stick, man , mountain took me climbing! You guys are still my favorite band, sorry Felix isn't around , but JackBruce isn't either.oh times go on hope it's better on the other side. Cause , i guilt listening to the radio years ago , K O R

I recently had the great pleasure of meeting Corky in Nashville. He came by my country estate "DisGraceland" to jam on some of my "Country Songs". The Grooves he played were fabulous! A TOTALLY COOL STUD !!! ...Sunset Slim

On top of great professional drumming, Corky was and maybe is that IT factor of confidence, show and entertainment fun. If you happened to see him in the 70s, you would say " Screw the guitar trip, I want to be that guy!"

Corky's recollections sent me straight the "Peppermint Twist" videos to get a look at the drummer from his Montreal neighborhood.
