I had a long-term best friend who I would spend at least one or two days a week with. One time in particular, we went out of state for lunch; I bought us lunch, and she dropped quite a bit on the drinks. This woman was physically flawless, seemed like a goddess to me, and yes, I was in love with her. That's why I never pursued anything other than friendship with her. I didn't want to cause an upheaval in our lives; I never wanted to do anything that might hurt her. It's been 17 years since I've seen her last- since I got remarried. If I saw her again, it would be a miracle if i didn't simply fall to the ground and weep. Yeah. I love my wife, but this woman was my fantasy since the day I met her. I'm still a mess, not having her in my life any more. All I can hope for is that she remembers me well.
