Only a Sketchup/TM user but enjoyed your TM overview.. been using TM since TM2016 and BIMmotion exports were brilliant for client presentations,, and as you say quick quality screen captures to dump straight into powerpoint presentations...
@@TheRevitKid yes.. While export from revit if the scale is kept in meter most of the material come in correct scale. so not too much of Material scaling is required in Twinmotion
Ishani, all of my sample files (including this one) are available to members of my private community (along with courses, office hours, and more)... Check it out here: community.bimafteradark.com
Great tutorial. On my third time through picking up little tricks. One thing I can't figure out is some models I export Previous + new and they are fully editable and others the Previous is Grayed (locked) as a single model. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
The phasing overrides change the material of the "existing objects". Because Twinmotion brings in objects based on material they are all grouped together... If you want to control existing separate from new you'll want to export two models (existing and new) so you can control them separately in TM... Their phase settings will have to be Phase: New and Phase Filters: Show complete... then Phase: Existing, Phase filter: show complete... so their are no overrides.
Perhaps you can assist me I purchased a new Laptop I have revit 2024 and twinmotion working fine on my desktop but I have installed both on the new laptop they both work separately but if I try open twinmotion through revit it says that it is not installed. Any advice would be appreciated
When opening a revit file in Twinmotion, is there a way to separate materials that have the same trim without going back to revit? (Like you did with the columns.)
As I mention in the video... its all about material names. So as long as your Revit elements have two different material names (which would mean two different materials) assigned to them... you will be able to assign the materials separately in Twinmotion.
Hello, really nice tutorial, I have a question, I can't sync the "ceilings" between revit 2021 and twinmotion 2020.2. Everything else works fine, could you please help me? Thank you.
@@10ahmedhassan I have sample files of my own and an entire course on Revit to Twinmotion in there … but this particular model was submitted by a RUclips viewer
You should do more with Twinmotion 2020. Im really enjoying the tutorials so far.
Oh, I will! Lots of things in the works...
Great Happy Hour. Thanks for sharing. This was very helpful.

best tutorial ever, thank you so much
Good Work. Could you show how to create a video?
Gracias totales!
Excellent tutorial my friend, thanks a lot.
the scale issue from revit export can be fixed if the the Model is exported with meter as the unit in Units setting in Revit
Are you talking about the scaled materials issue? The models come in fine... Just the materials have a weird scale.

Can you make the Revit file available so I can follow your tutorial step by step.

other thing is usually import as objects and not materials material become way easier

You'll have to be more specific.... I have imported ceilings without any issues....
merci bcp
how can I get this project file for practice ?
Sorry, it was a reader's file sent to me so I wouldn't want to share THEIR work. Cheers!
@@TheRevitKid mmm I thought it would be in your private community page , isn’t it ?

I have revit LT 2021 and would like twinmotion or some other rendering program.. Can you export Revit LT models into Twinmotion?
I don't know if Revit LT lets you add plugins or export to FBX. If it lets you do one of those two things, then yes, you can.
@@TheRevitKid Thanks for replying!! Finding your channel has been great!!
Hi, Can you show us how to create your own materials in Twinmotion?
I'm having a huge problem with syncing, don't know where to turn. This crashing is terrible
So did you ditch Lumion or are you flirting with both?..
check out my other videos.... Playing with them all..
I thought you're Balkan Architect because of the word 'Revit' lol
Nope, the original “Revit kid” here!! ;)
