    That's a lot of money right there!!

      It's almost ready for shipping to Colorado. bumpers and sliders are the last items to go on. It's definitely a keep forever truck with what I've spent so far!

      @@RoverLanding-Adventures O wow. I'm in Colorado. Yes deff have to keep a vehicle like that. I'm in the dilemma now. Ls swap , pin the clys and rebuild or buy the sleeves and rebuild. I do the work myself but still a fortune. It's our fav mountain vehicle though so we'll deff keep it.

      @@tbrinkley112 our gold D2 will stay Rover 4.6. But the engine that's in it is the best 4.6 I've ever seen. The rest of the frame may be rusting away on that D2 but the engine runs like new still! If you're doing the work yourself a rebuild would be way cheaper and the 4.6 can be a solid engine. Send me a message on Instagram (@roverlandingadventures), we're out in Grand Junction.

      The wheels and tires turned out pretty good! Lots of sidewall for airing down on these.

    Nice. Lot's of $ in parts, but still cheaper than a new Defender. Looking forward to seeing it all come together.

      Thank you. To get a new Defender to where we wanted would have been far too expensive at this point. We love new Defenders but they are out of reach at this point. And we do love Discovery's. They have a great look and are extremely capable and comfortable.

    What front windshield did you guys use? I need one, does need to be heated though. Whatever is cheapest.

    • @RoverLanding-Adventures
      @RoverLanding-Adventures  Год назад +1

      The glass installer ordered it. It was a heated windscreen but I'm unsure of the manufacturer.

    Awesome build! I just installed my RTE lift on my D2 that’s also running bronze method wheels! I’m planning on installing 315/75 tires as well when my GBR diffs are installed. Are you planning to use stock fender flares on your build or flexi flares?

    • @RoverLanding-Adventures
      @RoverLanding-Adventures  3 года назад

      Thank you! We are not sure what flares will get used yet. It will depend on how much trimming is required when the suspension is assembled. Stay tuned, you'll find out when we do!

      @@RoverLanding-Adventures got my 35s mounted on method wheels using stock fender flares. Minor trimming up front with more needed in the rear

      @@boostedt0y That's encouraging. The rear door is the part I'm most concerned about. If you're on Instagram maybe you could DM me a photo of what you trimmed.

    I'm about to start this on my 2000 discovery. I just can't justify wasting time and money on swapping another bosh(ed) v8. I bought a low KM LM7
    Did you cover at all in your series modifying the oil pan? I've heard this is an issue with LS3 series engines

    • @RoverLanding-Adventures
      @RoverLanding-Adventures  3 года назад

      Trailhead 4x4 uses the Chevy Performance oil pan kit to eliminate the issue. This oil pan clears the diff without issue.

    What Lift are you going to put into it to fit the 315s?

    • @RoverLanding-Adventures
      @RoverLanding-Adventures  3 года назад +1

      RTE Fabrication 4.5" full suspension kit. I cover the project basic plan in episode 1. Also, I've got links in the description to the components. The Method 702 wheels will also help with the offset. The unknown will be if the rear doors will still require trimming.

    What engine swap kit you using?
    I wanna do a LS swap too.

      It's not a kit, it's a shop conversion done by Trailhead 4x4.
