- He was an excellent captain 40 years ago. However, he later had an accident at work and lost 40% of his ability to work. He has three young children, but his wife left him after an accident.
This caused him to struggle and suffer mental breakdown for a long time. He has to raise 3 children alone now. Currently, he is quite struggling and is receiving quite a meager government subsidy to raise his children.
We received a call from a friend to help him with something. We were very surprised by his situation and helped him clean, renovate, and repaint the house and furniture in his small house.
Hopefully a small help like that will make him happier and happier in the future. The kids were really happy about that.

Wife ran off, he's dealing with theee children two of them being extremely young and always needing us,these guys stepped up and gave him a reason and slight piece of hope to live again.I pray they're thriving in life and his children are well. With all that cleaning they’re not going to scrub the floor? There is so much dust and dirt and grime on there that it doesn’t make any sense to put furniture back in without giving the floor a thorough cleaning. That makes absolutely no sense with all the dust floating around and that helps and on the floor especially they’re putting clean furniture back in and with only one coat of fine white paint. I know they’re given their time free to help but that’s not going to cut it, the walls need at least more coating of paint and the floors definitely need scrubbing.

He’s probably overwhelmed. Even these days most men are not taught housework and child care. Also they said he had been injured and probably still healing. May God help him and his children. Bless these wonderful neighbors who support him and gave him a hand up.
This clean-up crew is awesome. I can only imagine how good the father felt after such a significance change. This is truly a "love they neighbor" moment. Great work guys. I hope the father is able to reach out and receives more help as being a single parent is hard even when you're healthy.

You can see at one time how this father was able to provide for his family,just by looking at the quality of the furniture and size of the home. He has to keep a diligent eye on his clean home and kids to keep it that way ,as much as possible. That’s what I taught both of my sons also. I also taught them to help clean up after supper, wash their own laundry, and even cook a couple times a week. Everyone lives in the home, and it everyone’s job to help. For this family, they all need to chip in. This father just makes a mess, just like his children.
I watched this video with tears in my eyes. I'm sure it makes that father very sad to not be able to properly care for his family after losing his health. I was very sad to see the mice and insects in the warehouse. In a home with children, it is very difficult to keep the house clean and tidy. I agree, he's overwhelmed. I'm saddened that his wife left after he got injured. I'm disabled myself and know that I sometimes get overwhelmed and I live alone now that my Son's an adult and moved away. Some days I can't even get out of bed to do anything but use the restroom.

Ok parent of the year! Obviously he’s really been through it alone struggling with THREE small children having his wife just up an leave, telling them to clean up after themselves was probably the last thing on his mind.
That's much better for sick dad and little cids.Good people did good job .The roof is not good,so if they could help them with that,it will be great.

What a wonderful job you did. I was astounded at the amount of work that needed to be done and how they could live in such squalor. I understand the dad is disabled but I agree with others that the children must be taught and taught now to keep it clean as you go put things away after you use them pick up after yourself pick up trash and have somewhere to put it. The Lord must be pleased to see how long and hard you worked to help out this disabled man and his little family. I love when a community comes together to help a family out, but I’m just a little bit shock that no one thought to redo the roof with plastic, the home does look beautiful, but if it’s about the kids, a leaky roof would have been priority over painting.

Makes us all realise that we are all different and circumstances play are a large part of the problem. . Poor health and going it alone would be a big task.
