I've been looking for a place with a really good corn beef. Never knew this place even existed thanks for the introduction of this place. That Italian beef looked like the real deal you can get in some big city's like Chicago. Great review like always.
Such a good and interesting video. I love sandwiches, and would rather have a sandwich over anything else! I love Capicola (hot w/red pepper on outside) on my Italian sandwiches, along with Prosciutto. Boar's Head has those Italian meats, but now I can get my sandwiches and soups at Block Deli. Those soups sound delish! Esp. the Argentinian stew!
Barry my friend , great review on another great place , & you are like me & waste nothing , I worked out of Chicago years ago for about a year and a half , they have some great Italian beef sandwiches up there & I like Giardiniera which is mostly a celery base (almost like soupy broth) with onions, garlic, hot red dry chili flakes , etc...they'll even dip the whole sandwich in the broth with tongs. How does Mr. Goodall eat all that food: three sandwiches, two bowls of soup, Mac and cheese, and chips? How does that place make any money with only three tables? It all looked delicious though! 😜
Legend has it, after Barry got hit by the bus, he had them install a hollow leg with a diverter to it in his stomach he can activate to be able to eat three meals at a time that can easily be turned into six meals at a time if the portions are big. LOL Jokes aside, this looks awesome and I am going to have to go. The only problem is I can't eat three sandwiches at a time, so I will be left to decide and they all look amazing!
