This is my absolute FAVORITE version of "Itazura Na Kiss" (I've watched all of the other versions like (Korean - Playful Kiss, Japanese - Mischievous Kiss, Taiwanese - Miss In Kiss, among others) but this version is sooooo much better than ANY I've seen. It goes more in depth with the characters and the plot, the characters (especially the main leads Zhi Shu - played spectacularly by Joe Cheng, and Shing Qin - played beautifully by Ariel Lin) GROW in this drama and you can not only see it but feel it! I also loved the acting of Jiro Wang who played Ah Jin! So real! Yep, I rewatch this over and over to this day. :) Thanks for reading.

What I love about 'It started with a kiss' is the fact that, unlike the Korean version, the male lead shows true affection for the female lead. At least that's my opinion. Even though he doesn't stand her at the beginning of the series, it's well portrayed how his feelings develop through time and then, when he finally confesses, he's widely open about his love for her. I love them so much! I mean, talk about chemistry... 💘

He tells XQ after they registered their marriage that registering their marriage was just a formality, and that as soon as she said yes when he asked her to marry him, that was when she formally became his wife. The ceremony and registering the marriage weren't as important as asking that question and getting her to say yes in front of his and her family.

tons of dramas but iswak-tka will always be the best drama for me. the acting is superb, they made it really natural, and the chemistry between joe and ariel. this will always be the best adaptation of the manga upto this days. first watch this when i was 10 yrs old and now im 22, still watching in 2022 but the sparks is still there, feels like its my first time watching 🥺 miss arjoe so much, wish we could have a mini reunion of them again this year ❤️
i would recommend mischievous kiss (japan) and playful kiss (korean) but warning you, acting wise i would prefer iswak-tka, idk if it's just me but other versions is somewhat lacking bc iswak-tka set the bar to high

Aww..I was smiling like an idiot whole time while watching this episode. I love the part where they paste new poster photo on wall with all happy faces. I like how they became a family naturally from day 1 to now officially. I just love they complete each other. I just love zhi shu's mom. She is full of life. I love how she enjoys doing simple things for her family. From day 1 especially in case of Xiang shi who treats her like her own daughter . She never pointed out Xiang shi flaws if you see closely she is maybe the only character who don't consider her dumb apart from Ajin. I love their family dynamics . They just complete each other.
Agree. The Japanese version is charming but Iswak and They Kiss Again will always be classics, the Taiwanese version is also the most accurate adaptation of the manga. They literally did everything, the relationships of characters have all been explored.

After his experience in the hospital, I think that Yu Shu had a new appreciation for XQ. She saved his life. Yu Shu also knows that it's XQ that ZS loves and not Hui Lan. He saw his brother secretly kiss her in the hospital.

from this part 1:05 towards the end was one of the best part of this episode or whole season actually. It goes to show how he loves. She is his comfort and he can show his weak side on her. Also, when they're just quiet sitting & eating beside each other was really powerful. Such powerful love

I know this is years late, LOL, but I'm watching ISWAK AGAIN! I've seen all of the other versions of Itazura na Kiss and this, by far, is my favorite. Joe Cheng brings such realness, growth & intensity to the character of Zhi Shu. You can see his struggle whether to maintain his aloofness, ignore his deepening feelings & let Xiang Qin (played beautifully by Ariel Lin) go, giving her to Ah Jin (who made it a real "second lead" syndrome!), or to admit to, and give into, his true feelings for Xiang Qin & run to her. I'm so glad they didn't make the character of Hua Lan, whom Zhi Shu was supposed to marry, into a "bad girl" or make her obnoxious or snobby. Bianca Bin played her just right. I especially loved the final conversation between Zhi Shu & Hua Lan (before Zhi Shu went to get Xiang Qin). Hua Lan bravely admitted, & made HIM admit, that she could see how special Xiang Qin was to him. Each of these actors gave the characters such real depth & integrity (in my opinion). The rest of the cast was terrific, some of them really made the comedy come alive for me. I'll be watching ISWAK (and TKA) over and over again. Sorry to go on so long. This man A-jin loved xiang Qing truly and had good intentions for future. That's why he later gets a beautiful wife who loves him very much (in TKA) I believe in real life it happens too. If u love someone true heartedly and have good intentions, even if u can't get the person, God gives u more better person in your life ❤
The rain scene is one of the reason why this version really more stand out than the other. Zhi su really show how he panic & scared to lose xiang qin. Xiang qin really looks she will leave zhi su for real & marry aijin. For the other version, i don't feel the intense and the emotion. It's not like they're bad, but it look so akward if you compare them to this (Which i did and make me moree love this version ❤).

This version takes the cake of all the versions I've watched. They were all entertaining and I enjoyed all of them. But this is the best, there's more to the story in both the first and second season. The Male lead shows way more emotions and hes kinder than the others. Although, he's mean, but less mean than the others. You get to see alot more of their life and he's more romantic. The Korean version made only one season and had some scenes from the first and second season, merge in one season. Although, I like it. I wish they just kept the 2 seasons and showed their married life. The Japanese version was good as well. But the guy lacked emotions. He should have smiled more,and have more playful moments. You could have see that he loved her and cares for her. He just had a silent way of showing it. I only wish there was more romantic moments in their married life . The Tawainese version was just great and beautiful to watch. So much emotions, and love. He had his cold moments but showed more emotions. But hey, I love this storyline. I don't think i can get tired of any version. It's a beautiful story. Lovely characters.

Me. ❤️ I love the old classic Taiwanese dramas. If I would go back in time and if I were to pick between Taiwanese dramas and Korean dramas from the 90s until the early and late 2000s, I would definitely prefer Taiwanese. They were much better than Korean dramas back then. From the overly handsome actors (no plastic surgery) to the perfect plot, to perfectly believable on-screen couples that left an indelible mark to the international fans who wished that these couples were real-life couples etc. , everything was just EXCELLENT in the Taiwanese dramas/showbusiness back then. But today, it's the other way around. K-drama is now at its highest level of success in terms of global popularity. Japanese dramas, Thai dramas and those from the mainland China are quite popular too but I have yet to hear from Taiwan now since 2014. Yes, they're quite a few but there hasn't been any much of a big hype about Taiwanese popculture today. I wish they could make a comeback in the Asian mainstream. Taiwanese entertainment will always hold a special place in my heart. To me, they're as unique as Korean, Chinese, and Japanese. 🙏🙏🙏 I love Taiwan. 🇹🇼

I did not remember that when I saw the scene that Zhi Shu said the true feeling to Xiang Qin, what I were feeling. But now, after nearly 14 years later rewatching it, I cried happily when Zhi Shu and Ziang Qin tell the true feeling of each other. The masterpiece of my childhood.
The moment Zhi Shu proposes to Xiang Qin is really good, other versions including the original, this part doesn't bring much emotion to me but this version makes me emotional.

多田薰老师的原著漫画也非常好看。台湾版本改编非常好，加了很多温暖的小细节，演员都非常棒，这就是成功的原因。16年过去了，也许我会一直回味这部剧到老吧。

一直覺得白歆惠這個大小姐的身份演的很好，雖然跟漫畫版比較不像 ，但是演的很有氣質溫柔，加上運鏡，丟下戒指起來走人那裡，真的感受到跟阿金一樣的同款心碎。

tons of dramas but iswak-tka will always be the best drama for me. the acting is superb, they made it really natural, and the chemistry between joe and ariel. this will always be the best adaptation of the manga upto this days. first watch this when i was 10 yrs old and now im 22, still watching in 2022 but the sparks is still there, feels like its my first time watching 🥺 miss arjoe so much, wish we could have a mini reunion of them again this year ❤️

She is full of life. I love how she enjoys doing simple things for her family. From day 1 especially in case of Xiang shi who treats her like her own daughter . She never pointed out Xiang shi flaws if you see closely she is maybe the only character who don't consider her dumb apart from Ajin. I love their family dynamics . They just complete each other.

from this part 1:05 towards the end was one of the best part of this episode or whole season actually. It goes to show how he loves. She is his comfort and he can show his weak side on her. Also, when they're just quiet sitting & eating beside each other was really powerful. Such powerful love

I know this is years late, LOL, but I'm watching ISWAK AGAIN! I've seen all of the other versions of Itazura na Kiss and this, by far, is my favorite. Joe Cheng brings such realness, growth & intensity to the character of Zhi Shu. You can see his struggle whether to maintain his aloofness, ignore his deepening feelings & let Xiang Qin (played beautifully by Ariel Lin) go, giving her to Ah Jin (who made it a real "second lead" syndrome!), or to admit to, and give into, his true feelings for Xiang Qin & run to her. I'm so glad they didn't make the character of Hua Lan, whom Zhi Shu was supposed to marry, into a "bad girl" or make her obnoxious or snobby. Bianca Bin played her just right. I especially loved the final conversation between Zhi Shu & Hua Lan (before Zhi Shu went to get Xiang Qin). Hua Lan bravely admitted, & made HIM admit, that she could see how special Xiang Qin was to him. Each of these actors gave the characters such real depth & integrity (in my opinion). The rest of the cast was terrific, some of them really made the comedy come alive for me. I'll be watching ISWAK (and TKA) over and over again. Sorry to go on so long. The rain scene is one of the reason why this version really more stand out than the other. Zhi su really show how he panic & scared to lose xiang qin. Xiang qin really looks she will leave zhi su for real & marry aijin.
For the other version, i don't feel the intense and the emotion. It's not like they're bad, but it look so akward if you compare them to this (Which i did and make me moree love this version ❤).

This version takes the cake of all the versions I've watched. They were all entertaining and I enjoyed all of them. But this is the best, there's more to the story in both the first and second season. The Male lead shows way more emotions and hes kinder than the others. Although, he's mean, but less mean than the others. You get to see alot more of their life and he's more romantic.
The Korean version made only one season and had some scenes from the first and second season, merge in one season. Although, I like it. I wish they just kept the 2 seasons and showed their married life.
The Japanese version was good as well. But the guy lacked emotions. He should have smiled more,and have more playful moments. You could have see that he loved her and cares for her. He just had a silent way of showing it. I only wish there was more romantic moments in their married life .
The Tawainese version was just great and beautiful to watch. So much emotions, and love. He had his cold moments but showed more emotions.
But hey, I love this storyline. I don't think i can get tired of any version. It's a beautiful story. Lovely characters.

Me. ❤️ I love the old classic Taiwanese dramas. If I would go back in time and if I were to pick between Taiwanese dramas and Korean dramas from the 90s until the early and late 2000s, I would definitely prefer Taiwanese. They were much better than Korean dramas back then. From the overly handsome actors (no plastic surgery) to the perfect plot, to perfectly believable on-screen couples that left an indelible mark to the international fans who wished that these couples were real-life couples etc. , everything was just EXCELLENT in the Taiwanese dramas/showbusiness back then.
But today, it's the other way around. K-drama is now at its highest level of success in terms of global popularity. Japanese dramas, Thai dramas and those from the mainland China are quite popular too but I have yet to hear from Taiwan now since 2014. Yes, they're quite a few but there hasn't been any much of a big hype about Taiwanese popculture today.
I wish they could make a comeback in the Asian mainstream. Taiwanese entertainment will always hold a special place in my heart. To me, they're as unique as Korean, Chinese, and Japanese. 🙏🙏🙏
