Railfanning Commerce - 4/3/15

Since I didn't have to work on Friday, I decided to head out to one of the Metrolink stations that has intrigued me for quite some time now. I decided to head to the Commerce Metrolink Station for some railfanning throughout the afternoon. Although the freeway traffic going to and from Commerce was tremendously bad on this Friday, the amount of passenger and freight action I was able to catch in only about three and a half hours made up for the long drive.
Note : There was also switching action between trains in this video, although it is not included in the actual train descriptions as movements were quite frequent. Switching, as seen in the video, was between the BNSF Commerce Intermodal Facility and the Baretable Yard just to the south, along with some switching within the BNSF Commerce Diesel Facility Yard as well.

Nice catches dude! Commerce is a great spot to railfan and I've always wanted to railfan there. Although next time in order to avoid traffic heading home, wait until the end of rush hour to leave. That'll be around the time the southwest chief gets to Fullerton

Thanks ! Traffic was gridlocked the entire time. Even when I was Railfanning, traffic was crawling. Plus, Interstate 5 also has major construction going on as well.
