Matt totally killed it. He was so heartbreaking, and he really did look so frail in the movie. It was hard to watch. He did such a great job, though. The whole cast was great, really.
zombiedrea - Absolutely correct, zombie. Very touching film. It needs to be seen by all homophobes and HIV poz people. It's an important history lesson as well as a charming film. I cried when Ned and Celix got married while Felix was in the hospital, dieing. Made me cry.
Matt Bomer is literally so fucking gorgeous, he doesn't even look human, like he embodies Superman and Captain America combined ....Jesus he's a beautiful man !
I just watched this movie and it is one of the best movies I've ever seen. Matt did a fantastic job in this movie. Seeing him so weak was almost too hard for me to watch. Huge respect for Matt for that dedication to the role!
Matt Bomer was fantastic in this movie! Even though it had me crying outloud, Matt ( Felix) portrayed his death scene was done so well, it's really beyond words!!
that scene, where he shows 'Ned' the KS lesion on his foot....broke me. They're traveling to Ned's beach cottage for a little 'get-away' to celebrate their new relationship..the wind is blowing in their hair and they're holding hands the way two gay men hold hands, while Ned is driving...and you hear Bryan Ferry singing "More Than This" on the soundtrack. And then, BAM!!!!!..a simple conversation about how Felix has a son, but didnt fight for custody, turns into him running out of the room, and Ned following him to the bedroom, where Felix shows him the lesion....and then Ned crumples against the wall in shock. Im tellin you, I felt like I got hit in the face with a hammer. I didnt see that coming. And I cried. But I didnt realize until later, that I was crying because Ive been there...Ive had a very close friend tell me "I have AIDS...and Im going to die, I just know it". He told me that in 1989..and he was right. He died 4 months later.
Justine K Thanks for the correction :) Yeah, all the actors/actresses was phenomenal and they definitely deserve a big boost and recognition for this performance. And so does this movie. Heartbreaking but it gives the people who seen it a really important message. And the history and the message the movie gives us never really leave you.
I'm straight and I will preach to others that if you look at the main emphasis of taking up a cause and fighting for it with the kind of veracity that Larry Kramer and his Health Crisis group went though to take AIDS head on, it beyond an inspiring piece. I mean who knows how in the dark they were at the bleakest point when no one wanted to help them and keep them in the back burner. What else can you do? Keep fighting and never stop..
I truly great actor. He can act anything he wants to. And to the studios who said this man couldn't act a straight roll I am a woman and I can as sure and hell say this man totally turned me on as Neal Caffrey in White Collar...when he began to make love to a woman I was more than convinced. An amazing actor. If they ever bring back It Takes a Thief ...he should be the main character. He'd totally kill that roll too. Love you Matt.
Normal Heart is an excellent story & anything Ryan Murphy does is GOLD! Every actor in it is phenomenal. No matter how many times I've seen it, it's like yesterday & l still get emotional
I was at a hotel in New York when I was flicking through the channels and saw a scene of matt covered in spots. I stayed on that channel despite how creepy I felt and then saw the shower scene. I was so done that night.
I cried. This gay movie is touching. Angry about this indifference. Till now rights are not for granted. Why is it so hard to fight for a love that is still banned today.
I think Finn Wittrock (on a different role) also lost weight for this movie, didn't he? They did a great job with their depiction of AIDS and I was also really creeped out by those lesions and how in one scene he tries to cover up with make up.
Brilliant movie. I've long been a fan of Mark, Matt and Julia and when I watched this movie, I totally forgot who they were. They became their characters. The entire cast was brilliant!!!!
love Matt so much from inside out. I just realized his exist this year. He is not only have the extremes good looking. he is also very professional with what he did. He can sing so well but still only a few songs out so far. I don't understand why he still under valued in Hollywood?
Soberbia.
Actors should not have to starve to near death to play a role i think that is why it is called acting. Just pretend the screen graphics now can deal with physical size changes.
jan lester I disagree. This entire movie was focused on remembering the victims of this disease, so saying that 'not enough is being done to remember the real victims' doesn't make much sense. Not to mention that no one was calling Matt a 'victim'. In fact, the whole point of what he's saying is that this story deserved to be told, and whatever risk was involved in such drastic weight loss was worth it to tell the story of these victims of AIDS
and again not enough is being done as an adjunct. its a great production but not a documentary or a revisiting. that is my view. i was in chicago when they called it grid, when we could not get even morgues to take us. maybe nothing can capture it. have a good day.
jan lester I'm truly sorry you had to go through that. I understand that to someone who had to go through it, this movie probably doesn't come close to capturing it. But as a kid born in the 90's, I've never experienced anything like it and until this movie I knew almost nothing about the struggles that victims of AIDs had to go through. Honestly not much gets to me, but this movie did in a way that almost nothing else has before. I know it can never compare to what you really went through, but from where I stand I was able to get a glimpse of what happened and I got to see at least a little of the horror and heartbreak that people had to go through. I think a lot of the people involved in this film thought of it as more than just some job...for Matt in particular, it meant a lot to be able to be a part of it, and that's what I was trying to get at. Here, if you have time you should read this...the whole thing if possible: www.indiewire.com/article/matt-bomer-the-normal-heart This is why I was so quick in my attempt to defend him :P I admire the guy, and these thoughts he talks about going into the film are part of the reason. Sorry for such a long message, I just wanted to get it out.
i admire him also.i just wish that true documentaries were promoted in the advertisemens this one is fairly easy to find. www.imdb.com/title/tt0108138/ and i cant watch milk as i have seen him alive.. am glad it got to u. somethings are ugly and meant to be. but i think the actors need to make sure that their acting is just that. he was paid major bucks...and included was for him to lose all that weight. that said i am such a fan of his..in everything he does. have a good nitee
Matt totally killed it. He was so heartbreaking, and he really did look so frail in the movie. It was hard to watch. He did such a great job, though. The whole cast was great, really.
Yessss they was , I wish they put it in cinemas or something because the movie is so powerful for tv network
zombiedrea - Absolutely correct, zombie. Very touching film. It needs to be seen by all homophobes and HIV poz people. It's an important history lesson as well as a charming film. I cried when Ned and Celix got married while Felix was in the hospital, dieing. Made me cry.
They were all excellent. I wish Mark Ruffalo was cloned. He always does great work. I can watch Zodiac over and over. He is so good in every role.
zombiedrealll you for your kind words gy
Matt Bomer is literally so fucking gorgeous, he doesn't even look human, like he embodies Superman and Captain America combined ....Jesus he's a beautiful man !
Agreed: he's eyes are like from more peaceful, gorgeous planet most of us have never been to
He kinda looks like Henry Cavill
He’s perfect 🤩 like God took all the most beautiful features and designed him ❤
I would love to see him as Superman.
I just watched this movie and it is one of the best movies I've ever seen. Matt did a fantastic job in this movie. Seeing him so weak was almost too hard for me to watch. Huge respect for Matt for that dedication to the role!
The way Ryan describe how physically weak Matt was made me cry.
me too
Same here😭😭
Most exquisitely gorgeous man .... inside and out! LOVE LOVE LOVE Matt Bomer!
Danny Bouck is he gay too.?)

I really hope Matt gets an Oscar for this! He definitely deserves it :)
he wont because this movie was made for tv....not on the big screen
Emmy is for television. The Oscar is for motion pictures. Hope they all, especially Matt are recognized when the Emmys come along.
Justine K Thanks for the correction :)

He did win an Emmy! ☺️
@@katiekuchen9694 Nope, he won Golden Globes, not Emmy
The Normal Heart is hard to watch but at the same time it's so important to watch
What an incredible, moving and powerful movie!
Respect for what he did... it was unbelievable
I'm straight and I will preach to others that if you look at the main emphasis of taking up a cause and fighting for it with the kind of veracity that Larry Kramer and his Health Crisis group went though to take AIDS head on, it beyond an inspiring piece. Anyone watched him in the movie ANYTHING??..Brilliant pure brilliant!!
One of my favs ❤️
Matt B was excellent in "The Sinner"
Watch white.collar
Wow! Everyone's all dressed up for this interview. I am so used to seeing hollywood actors in casual clothes for non redcarpet events. This is nice.
I was at a hotel in New York when I was flicking through the channels and saw a scene of matt covered in spots. I stayed on that channel despite how creepy I felt and then saw the shower scene. I was so done that night.
I Loved the normal heart and Matt was amazing in it
Matt es un verdadero actor, muy talentoso, con un futuro prometedor!
A great performance, Matt and everybody else in the film.
If only a Matt Bomer came my way...
I cried. This gay movie is touching. Angry about this indifference. Till now rights are not for granted. Why is it so hard to fight for a love that is still banned today.
Love the movie..all did great job..
Really good and power full!
Love the passion they brought to this film ...
love Matt so much from inside out. I just realized his exist this year. He is not only have the extremes good looking. he is also very professional with what he did. He can sing so well but still only a few songs out so far. I don't understand why he still under valued in Hollywood?
I and his elder son we both have the same age but still love him 😆😆😆😆
Guapisimo este chico 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇵🇷
Excited for this:-):-):-):-)
Mat you are a genius😍
estas actuaciones merecian una nominacion en los oscars!!!! excelentes todos!

Great Movie! Well done all.
Matt...let's meet for ice cream!
+nunya businezz you call it kidnapping i call it placing in storage protection
I'm disappointed he didn't get any award for his acting in this story.
Or did he?
He did he got a golden globe
Enjoyed the movie and loved hearing the cast in this interview, but the interviewer wasn’t good.
I hate when they ask about his weight loss when it was so much more than that.
Actors should not have to starve to near death to play a role i think that is why it is called acting. Just pretend the screen graphics now can deal with physical size changes.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Julia looks bored.
Nah... I'm a good girl!! :-)
Lol he just wanted an award. 😂😂😂😂 sad
not enough is being done to remember the real victims...yes he lost weight..but he is alive.
