Merry Christmas Professor Toy Box. These were some fun ideas for what would initially look like a rather standard decoration toy. One other idea I had was to use it in a puzzle where you have to guide the drone or maybe even the mine car down the correct path. So for example it is on a loop but you can push a button so it takes a branching path to where it needs to go.
Great idea! You would have to use multiple paths, since we can’t control which branch an object takes, but you can connect a path point to a new path to simulate branching. Add a top down camera, and that would make a fun challenge.
@@professortoyboxyeah it would. Though I think if you were to set the default path to 0 or at least 1 while the branch is deactivated the drone should still take the default path, then when the branch is active it’ll prefer the branch over the default path because the weight is higher. I’ll definitely have to test it out but it sounds like it could be fun regardless. Thanks for the advice.
@@professortoybox okay. I did some testing and you are right but for different reasons. While the object on the branching paths will ignore the default path if you set the default to 0 it will go the default path if the branch is off, but it seems like there is no way to activate and deactivate the branching path with any sort of button or trigger. But just as well since the object is already connected to a path it cannot jump to a second path, so I can’t have the drone reach the checkpoint then use a logic connection make it go to the second path like you suggested. 🤔
@@ktoon4725 actually you can. I showed how to do that in the Star Wars: Screams in the Void toy box, when the TIE fighter stops circling and lands on the asteroid.
Cool Video Happy Friday Merry Christmas 🎅🤶🎄
Thanks! Merry Christmas!
