- The largest slum in Africa is called Kibera, and it is located in Nairobi Kenya. It was here that I tried the local traditional cuisines and street food of Kenya!! Not only did I try street food, but I also tried the National dish of Kenya and learned how to eat it!

The best way to immerse in another culture is through food. Love it!
Hi Ivan!! You are so right- it's a huge part of the culture and brings everyone together. Thank you for watching, my friend! I appreciate you 🥰🤗
Kenya was the country I represented in school when I was about 9 years old at school for a project, so this was wonderful to see how beautiful the people are.
Back then it was not as developed as it is today.
Look forward to seeing more.
Omg, yes Kenyans are so beautiful and SO friendly!! Kenya is advanced in many ways, and there is so much to see within one country. Thank you so much for watching and commenting- your support means a lot 🥰❤🥰❤
This was my favorite walk through video of the Kibera area. Thanks! Food makes everything better.
Aww that’s so nice to hear!!! It was a fun trip- great people and yummy food! ❤️❤️
Just returned from my Kenya trip and missing it so much... I make Ugali and Kachumbari every day :) Glad I found your videos...
Oh wow- you make it Everyday!! Kenya is amazing- so happy you were able to experience the country! Thank you so much for watching my videos 🇰🇪💕🥰
Just discovered ur channel, wonderful narration and an amazing video coverage.. Much love from 🇰🇪
Thank you SO MUCH for this nice comment!! I hope to return and explore more of Kenya one day ❤️
I loved watching your channel ...keep doing the goodwork...all the best for your upcoming journey👍👍👍...New subs here
Awww, thank you Justice!! I appreciate the follow and I'm so happy that you are enjoying the videos. Thank you also for the comments and interaction- it means a lot 🤗⭐️🙏🏽
Appreciate your guts to try food in a slum in Kenya.
The food was good!! Thank you for watching! ❤️
I appreciate your attitude & demeanor when you travel & meet people living their lives & experience their culture. You don't make this about you. That whole 'look at me' & they're loud & overly friendly is disrespectful to the people they're trying to get to know. Your easy going, have the best laugh & genuine personality. I enjoy watching & learning from your experience.
And I appreciate your comment!! It means a lot bc I love meeting locals during my travels!! I appreciate them showing me a piece of their world and cultures. The people are what make my most memorable experiences ❤️❤️❤️. Thank you for your compliments 🥰🌟
Keep working hard guys. I like watching your RUclips channel
Thank you, that means a lot 🥰
@@ZannParker You're welcome my dear
I like how you connect with our people ❤
I love the people in Kenya. Everyone was so friendly and I appreciated it ❤️
Great work! So happy to see you enjoying all the different food and the fun company! I can’t wait to see the artists and their work ❤
Thank you Tina! The company might've been my favorite part!-- although, the food was actually very tasty. you know me and fish- I was pleasantly surprised ❤❤🇰🇪 Yes, the artists- very impressed! Stay tuned . 🤩
All the food looked so tasty!!! And everyone was so friendly ❤️
Everyone was soooo friendly!! And yes, the food was great! Thank you for watching several of my videos and commenting- that means so much 🥰💕💫
Kibera slum isn't the biggest in Africa. It has a population of just 250k as per the last national census. The settlement was hyped as the largest in Africa and highly impoverished to attract donor funding for some greedy fellows who wanted to take advantage of the situation.
Yes yes, that’s what others have said. Did you get anything else out of the video besides that one sentence?
@@ZannParker of course the video is eye opening. People always have the impression that kibera slum people are poor always waiting for government and donor support, That due to poverty, everyone is a criminal looking for something or someone to steal from, that their food is bad and unhygienic and eating it will make you sick.
However, your video has proved otherwise, that there are lots of people who are living much better in the slum than other parts of the city or world, their food is fresh, delicious and good for consumption like anyway other area, people get food poisoning in 5 star hotels and rarely get one in kibera. That their people are good, welcoming, supportive, proud of their dwellings and are thriving in various businesses and other things to meet their ends. Some people live there not because they can't afford a better place but it's because they are used to the neighbourhood, the communalism that comes with it and the opportunities that it offers to them. But of course we can't downplay the fact that challenges of poverty, good waste disposal, some crime and lack of certain amenities still do exist. But a lot has changed for the better and probably in years to come, the slum will be nonexistence
If everything was prepared in a healthy manner, I'd try it all.
It was good, no stomach issues. Healthy is in the eye of the beholder - much of it was fried and everything is cooked on the street. “Healthy” is not the priority here haha
Great content! We are ready for more videos. Keep it up 👏
Thank you Rose!! I appreciate you watching! xo
Have good time dear.. 👌

I love your adventures.
Have you ever been to the Papua region of Indonesia?
In Papua there are many cultures and traditions.
I will be happy if you visit Papua Indonesia.
And if you've been to Papua, you can go straight to the Indonesian island of Flores.
On the island of Flores there is an ancient animal that is still alive today named Komodo.
Yessss if I go to Indonesia I will def visit the Komodo dragons 🐉

Miss you😂😂💔
Ahmed!!! So nice to see your name here-- it seems like it's been a while! haha. ❤❤
How come the whole town is eating with you? Are they that hungry or just gluttony? there is a particular guy that follows you everywhere, damn!!!! I enjoyed the video tho
Sharing is caring and a way to connect! Which guy that followed? The one with the hoodie? I don’t think they are used to white people just chillin out there so people were curious. No big deal. We all had fun- good times. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed 🤗
@@ZannParker I really love the. Video, but maybe because of my culture difference, I found what they do disrespectful but is not a problem tho as long as you cool with, please do visit my country Nigeria.

Nice beautiful and attractive video content i like to see more time increase in your video ❤🌹 be safe
Thank you so much my friend!! Do you mean me make longer videos?? People have short attention!! Haha
@@ZannParker I watch videos on RUclips that normally are minimum 10 minutes up to an hour.
I think it is different for some.
@@ZannParkeryes please make long video with your video i believe i have long attention and people also ❤
@@k_and_m8745 That's so good to hear. You and Lakshan are the ideal followers -- you both watch the whole video and interact, and that is HUGE.. Most people do not do either, and it's so important for a creator who spent so much time making a video, and important for youtube's algorithum to push it out to more viewers. I'm still learning this process and I imagine in the future, I will have longer videos. Thank you again for ALL of your support- it means more than you realize 🥰💫
@@Randi6 You are the best Lakshan! Thank you!! In the future, I will have some longer ones. Thank you for watching my videos until the end-- thank you for believing in my work! ❤🙏🏽
Your countries name ,🌹🌹🌹🙏🙏
I’m from USA
Only in Kenya
🇰🇪🇰🇪
Kibera has atmost 250k people..the 1 million was an exaggeration to steal more donation money 🤦🏾♂️ again in 2023 Nigeria has the biggest slum if I'm not wrong
So sad how much corruption through the ngos and other organizations is happening. According to every internet source I’ve read, Kibera is the largest . Thanks for watching the video
Be careful next time.....its not really advisable....I hope your tummy was okay...
Thank you. My stomach was perfect!
6:38 you had diarrhea ?
Nope! Not even a little. My stomach was totally fine
@@ZannParker then you can basically survive anything 😂 even some locals are sceptical of mtura
@@Mainneli haha my stomach has definitely been tested with worse! The matura had such a great flavor
Okay, food is okay.... But dont drink the Changa Spirit... That is very dangerous....
Haha! That’s the home made whiskey, right?
