Seriously man, Rowan's such a good actor I genuinely get annoyed at the douchey characters he portrays on screen. Props!
I know right?! Whenever he tries to act like an arse, he's SO believable, but when you just hear him on stream, he's really cool.
And when he's with his dog or wife, he's so soft you'd think he was made of marshmallow.
Some actors are just not good at acting, but they fan express their characters confidently lmao
And on the other hand he plays Baelin - a character who manages to convey so much warmth and feeling and general goodness with literally one single line.

I was waiting for Rowan’s dad/sibling to come in yelling, “you were supposed to wake me! You know you can’t pretend to be a therapist with my patients!”
Plot Twist: He is the best counselor and is using the classic, reverse psychology.
Like in "Hard" somehow he's intuitively strikes at being so awful, he's brilliant. Paradoxical Rowan is one of my favourites.
He gets the job done!

Rowan is actually a pretty good therapist, he managed in less than 3 minutes to bring Britt and Alan together again.
I mean it was a small grievance, really something that could have been sorted without therapy .
And Rowan spotted that immediately and acted perfectly for the situation. Best therapist ever.

I get how this can trigger some people depending on the relationships they’ve had in the past but as a social worker, this was hilarious! You see so many people in the field who really are just terrible at couples counseling and although it’s sad it’s definitely dark humor on reality. Loved it!

I like to picture when Bodger was thrown into the portal he arrived at 21st century society and decided to take the psychologist job to fund his return to Honeywood.

Plot twist: There is no plot twist. Everyone was open and honest about their feelings, Alan and Brit remain happily married.
Rowan gets globally recognized as the greatest reverse psychologist of all time, only to learn the Ministry of Psychology was using reverse psychology on him to make him a better therapist. He is now on a mission to give those who humiliated him their own therapy; pain therapy. This is now an action series.
Plot twist: The ones that humiliated were also using reverse psychology, they always believed in him, they just didnt know how to express it.

And that pain therapy is what led him on a path, eventually making him a monstrous manager at PlayTech.

When the piano music stopped I expected Alan to say " and what's he doing here?" Pointing off screen, cut to shot of Adam dressed in a tux or suit like a cocktail lounge bar player, stop playing a grand Piano only feet away, looking a bit apologetic - but that's his job in Rowan's Therapies.

Lets just say I was probably one of the biggest morons on earth who tried to save a doomed relationship by doing "couple" and individual therapy.
Indeed, I was such a moron, that it took me YEARS to figure out that I had been simply screwed by "my" therapist and my ex.... and all that paid by me :)

My wife has no job so i pay of course.
I got no problem towards her, but it was her who has a problem towards me.
I didn't know what i did, and why she suddenly ask for a relationship counseling but she ended up persuading me.
It's almost as if she was plotting something, i just didn't know it yet.
I actually don't mind that I get all the old stuff recommended again. Best content on RUclips
You know he's good at what he's doing when you know that it's not even real, that it's all BS and acting, and you're not even the one in the scenario, but you're still getting irritated by his actions.

Plot Twist: Rowan is actually in love with Alan and is breaking them up to try and get together with him. He invited her out for a drink just as a way to get more info on what Alan is attracted to
that would be quite the twist.
Plot Twist 2: Rowan didn't realise there wasn't a space when he applied to be 'TheRapist' and was 4D chessing Britt to an isolated place so he could catch Alan alone for a struggle cuddle.
No matter the role, Rowan is usually the instigator haha love it!
I love that the "Rowan" character is so consistent - like, I really feel like the Playtech manager moonlights as a therapist on the weekends. 😂

My wife and I had a therapist like this when we went to marital counseling. We would both discuss our grievances and the therapist only ackowledged hers and dismissed mine. After 4 sessions, I walked out because she kept asking my wife, right in front of me, "do you feel safe at home?....are in in danger?". It made my wife mad too, because she had done the same thing in previous sessions. We rarely yell, and certainly never get physical.

Honestly I love Rowan always being on genius level when it comes to non-sense. Everytime something is completly nuts, he still can navigate through it and come on top. Great job, guys!
Rowan is being very smart and machavellian; he pushes the relationship of the couple to the limit so they can fight to fix it themselves and if it doesn't work he could have a date.

This hits hard man! I got therapy at a young age 'cause of my autism... and the therapist always blamed me for absolutely everything. My sister had never done anything wrong and I always had to change my ways. I hate that therapist! She MADE me hate myself.

I watched all Epic NPC man videos and some of the Bored so far and I am astonished how good actors you guys are. Rowan is such a great douchey character, Adam fits all his roles perfectly and Alan is all around flexible. I am impressed. Keep up the great work!

Rowan is the expert of reverse-anti-counter-therapy, that is super effective due to putting extreme social stress on the patients pushing them to quickly realize if they do, or do not, actually care for each other.
This is truly amazing how psychology finally starts working.

The worst part is, this is exactly what happens in couples therapy all the time. It may not be so abrupt, but it happens over weeks or months.
