Hey! Just found your channel! You make great content! I will be buying a e72 myself tomorrow. And I really want to make it my main phone. But I never used a symbian os phone before. So I have a few questions: 1-Is Sistore reliable? Or does it even work on e72?? 2-Is there any way that I can use whatsapp on e72? 3-What is the best way to upload some apps to the phone? I looked at your comments section and I guess you read all the comments. I wish I discovered your channel earlier :) Thanks!
Hello and thank you! Nice! Since you never used a Symbian before, do not expect it have very fast response like today's smartphones. I'm not trying to discourage you, I just wanted to give you a heads up on what to expect like, when opening a app, wait a second for it to load, also when starting it up and after passing the "NOKIA" logo and after setting up the time and date, wait 8 seconds or so for the OS to fully load because if you start pressing buttons right before it booted, it will lag a bit and give the impression that it did not work, but it will do the command after a few seconds. Kind of like Windows XP or older Windows. Now to answer your questions: 1. I did not know about Sistore but you got me interested so I will download and install it on some of my phones to test it. 2. I could not find a way to make it work again. WhatsApp does not offer support to Symbian devices anymore. 3. You can upload them with a data cable and open and istall them from the phone (for E72 is micro USB cable) and you must have a memory card in it (micro SD) so that when you connect it, the computer see it as a removable storage. If you don't have a memory card, you must install Nokia PC Suite and it will create a folder dedicated to Nokia devices where you can browse the phone's files and copy the app there and then open it with your phone and install it. BUT if you intall Nokia PC Suite you don't have to copy the app in the phone, you can just open the app in your computer (the app icon will look like 3 squares and a plus with green and blue color) and then you will be asked if you want to install the app in the phone and click yes, the look at the phone and follow the steps there. It will also ask you where to install it, phone memory or SD card. The phone does not have to much memory (about 250 MB) but it can take a few apps. If you install it on the micro SD card then if you remove the card, the app will not work anymore. It either disappears from the phone's menu or the icon remains but it won't open. Here's a link for Nokia PC Suite: nokia-pc-suite.en.uptodown.com/windows I will be testing Sistore and maybe make a video about it.
@@Retrophonesstuff Wow. Thanks for the explanation. It is hard to find specific information. I will be waiting for Sistore update then! Thanks again for your support!
Thank you for your efforts very helpful video, I followed all the steps and changed my mobile body housing but the sound of ringtone and music is not working. did I make something wrong?
The loudspeaker is pretty sensitive if you touch the membrane (that thin transparent plastic sticked to the speaker body). If the membrane unsticked from the magnet when you pulled it out then it's damaged and needs to be replaced. Or maybe you just placed it upside down in the body shell. The pins have to be on the top side.
what screwdrivers did you use to remove all the screws?, torx 6?
